    I personally like Oak/Rowan. They have a creepy, pedo-professor appeal to them :)

    Yes I would have to say Birch as well. He is the nicest professor. The others are just like go here and do this.
     
    Prof. Oak most definetly. He is one of the most renowed professors and he has been around since the 1st gen days. Now the new female prof. may put all these dudes to shame :].
     
    My favourite Professor is Professor Oak, simply because he was the best. A classic, very helpful, and lots of knowledge, in my opinion, is what a Professor needs to have to be good at his job. Oak ticks all of those boxes and more. He's had experiences in the past - as shown in the movie Pokemon: Celebi: Voice of the Forest - which means that his knowledge comes from actually being a past Pokemon trainer; instead of immersing himself in books, which is only half the job really.
     
    Professor Oak. He's had the most character development. And the others all look weird. Except for Yew, but we know like nothing about her right now.
     
    Since Araragi hasn't made her way to US shores yet D: I'm gonna go w/ Birch (in the anime) and Professor Oak in the games (just see him more often, and when you do he's not uber annoying).

    Though once again, once Araragi arrives the rest may be brushed aside to make room for the queen.
     
    Elm. He was my favorite. He was my first Pokemon professor.
     
    Prof. Elm. Mainly cause he was the comic relief professor. He was smart and really well trained, yet all the bad things happen to him. Plus the fact that he seems to be aware that HGSS is a remake at the begining of the games (he mentions that Mystery Egg thing has happened before) just makes him that much more awesome.
     
    Professor Oak is the only one who stands out at all for me. :/

    I can at least remember what Elm and Birch look like but Rowan... I have no idea. I can't picture him in my head. XD; Elm annoyed me a bit and Birch... idk, all I remember is how he looks. :| So Oak kinda wins by default.

    (I dislike the design of the new female but I'll reserve judgment for when I've interacted with her in-game. :s)
     
    I think that Professor Oak and Rowan are kind of old and Professor Elm seems too young and inexperienced, so I think that Professor Birch is experienced and quite young and he is the only one who is regularly out of his lab doing research out in the field.
     
    Prof. Oak. He made the Pokèdex!
    I like Prof. Elm though, he's cool in a nerdy way.
     
    Birch is a younger, hands-on researcher who spends most of his time outside the lab...so he's essentially one of those "cool" scientists compared to those wrinkly old men. XD
