Favourite Japanese opening?

    My personal favorites are 'Ready Steady GO' and 'Challenger', but I think most of them are equally fascinating, except for Symphonic Meledoy. It surprises me when comparing the English and Japanese opening that they approach the same music and edits so differently! XD

    I like "Ready Go!" best for its lucid quality and dramatic and poignant beats, but I rather like all the Japanese openings. They're all theme-solid. I feel they all have good footage in tandem, but I don't think any of the themes are quite inspiring or nostalgic as Season 1's dub opening. Withal, that's for another thread.

    I also like the OK! Instrumentals a lot.

    I like Together (both the original and the remix), Challenger, OK, Pokemon Symphonic Medley and Mezase Pokemon Master (Whiteberry)

    I like Together and Challenger the best though. Challenger I never got sick of even though I've heard it over 100 times (no exaggeration) and Together because it's happy and nostalgic.

    I have all the Japanese opening themes on my iPod and a selection of ending themes, all the soundtracks (except movie 1 dub, I really should put in on) and all BGM released. Watashi, Makenai! is actually the most listened to on there out of everything. At this point, I should mention it's a Classic 80gb one, so Pokemon is not the only thing that will fit on there o.O

    Every single BGM?! That is pretty "woah" if you ask me.

    Er, well, all that are released. Which is much less "whoa" if you ask me XD There's only about 50/60 BGM released, not including the soundtracks though haha. But the soundtracks (the one's that actually have all the tracks) are only about 60-100MB which is small when you have 80GB. But I love Pokemon BGM so I don't mind.

    That is a little bit. even with my PSP, which only has a 2GB Memory Stick. But I can't believe only 50-60 BGM are released.

    Yeah, about 40 from Pokemon Anime Sound Collection which had Kanto themes, none were released again until Advance Adventure CD which had about 5/6 AG pieces, Polka O Dolka had 2 AG Team Rocket pieces and 2 that were on PASC and Genki!! Ippai!! had a lot from PASC and about 10 new ones from Johto and AG that weren't released. It's kind of terrible when a lot of great BGM has never been released. So I like getting clips from the anime, Route 27 has to be one of my favourite unreleased ones

    Catchy, of course I couldn't stop getting sleepy at the horribleness of the Pyramid. It was horrible. But the BGM is catchy.
     
    My favorite Japanese Opening is Bleach Opening 2 (D-Technolife by UVERworld) and Bleach Opening 5 (Rolling Star by Yui) - it sounds really great!

    Yes, I meant Ready Go, :D sorry for the Typo! XD Oh, did I mention that the dub sometimes edit out scenes from the Japanese openings? I've never heard the Together opening, does anyone have a link to it?

    Mezase Pokémon Master (first, simply awesome, not the whiteberry version at all though), Rival! (not at first though), OK!, Battle Frontier, Spurt! (why do pretty much all of them have exclamation marks lol?), and possibly Together (at first, but maybe not anymore due to hearing it dozens of times. other than the sound, the visuals are kinda boring though).

    Damn that's like pretty much every one.

    The second is another Rica song. Yes, you've guessed it, it's "High Touch!". The visuals are very good, I am a fan of Rica, though the down-point is having Megumi sing in her Dawn-voice. If Megumi were to sing in her original voice, the song would've been superb.
     
    For me its gotta be Mezase Pokemon Master ( both the 1st and 4th openings). I beleive Season 4's japanese opening is a remix of Season 1's japanese opening. I also love the Battle Frontier theme, Spurt, Ready! Go! and Season 3's opening, OK! Oh, and lets not forget the new opening for Sinnoh High Touch! :P

    When the CD comes out, there's going to be a Satoshi's version where Rica sings by herself (and a Hikari version, too)
