"Fight for the Light!" Episode Discussion

    Here is where you can discuss Jasmine's Ampharos woes in "Fight for the Light!"

    My review to come forthwith.

    (Only one more left 'til the end of the mid-Johto discussions.)
     
    Is this the episode in which Ampharos was ill? Doesn't matter. This is probably one of my favorite mid-Johto episodes. It's too bad that it was interupted by the Whirl Cup and Chuck. Anyway, the episode itself was cool. Jasmine is one of my favorite Johto Gym Leaders so it was a plus adding her in the episode. My only regret is that Brock could've played a bigger role but didn't. Also, Jasmine's assistant, Janina, was pretty clever by using wax on her Onix so it could resist Water-type attacks. Overall, it was very enjoyable.

    Yeah, it was, but it doesn't matter, as you said. It was nice to do a Gym Battle tease, which we haven't had for a while (not counting Whitney, as Ash initially lost to her). So, it was a good change of pace, particularly with the wax angle. Curse you, real life logic to Pokemon problems. Heh.

    And, true, as we'd get sidetracked. Although, Chuck would be introduced and wrapped up by the very next episode, so blame everything else on the Whirl Cup arc.
     
    I found this episode boring. The way the girl pretended to be the gym leaders reminds me of how Max pretended to be the gym leader, a little, except Max was way funnier. I remmeber being annoyed there wasn't a gym battle, but I suppose that was obvious since tht's what happens in the games :/ Oh well. I think this is the episode that "OK! Instrumental" plays all the way through, that's a plus, I suppose.
