    Here a nice question.

When you first played did you:

A). Fight every pokemon Trainer you saw along the way,

    or

B). Skip as many fights as you could?

Me personally challenged everyone i saw to make sure i had seen all the Shin pokes, otherwise you spend a lot of time going back through fighting them or spend even more time tracking down the pokemon and leveling them up.

I challenge everyone because a) it's annoying that when you've beaten the game someone battles you without you noticing you didn't battle with him/her and b) it's boring to train with wild Pokémon. For example, when you get to the E4 and they're 10 levels above you.

I actually Fight all trainers that I saw well they saw but you know the point..
If I'm really hurrying to the next town...I'll just skip the trainer and comeback to them when the next town has a gym A.K.A. Mauville City, Cerulean City

Here's a bit of irony speaking of battling everyone you see i actually missed the only NPC trainer on the game who has Wormadam lol now i have to trek through route 214 to find her lmao oh the irony of it all :P

I battled everyone too. Even if they're preprogrammed, they're still trainers, and it's important to fight everyone you can. It's also good experience, and if you can remember which ones in particular gave good experience or EVs, you can keep battling them. (a certain fisherman has 2 Gyarados that I use for Attack EV-training)

Not to mention the need to fill the Pokédex as soon as possible so you can get the National Pokédex. Much easier when you fight out-of-the-way trainers that have Cherrim and such things; otherwise, you spend too much time trying to find them elsewhere after beating the game.

Yup like i almost did with the Wormadam lol if i didnt remember the trainer was on route 214 id be up a creek with no paddle to put it nicely lol :P

When I began, I battled every trainer I found, sometimes even going back to find any I missed. I also never ran from Wild Pokemon unless I absolutley could not battle (I raised my lead Pokemon almost 10 levels just getting through Victory Road).

The Pokemon League was easier then I thought.

I try to battle every trainer, but if I'm in a situation where my Pokémon are weak (as in HP amount) then I'll try my best to get to the Pokémon Center and then come back when I've healed everyone. Though, when it comes to wild Pokémon I usually run unless I want to catch that Pokémon or I want to train a newly hatched Pokémon.

I battled every trainer so I could complete the pokedex... and for exp.

Most of them were complete pushovers though. So it was tedious.

But yea, by the time I got to the Elite 4, I destroyed them.

Back when i was like 8 in the metal generation i tried to avoid every battle there was, now I battle everyone whether they notice me or not, it makes filling the dex and beating the Elite 4 much easier. I still tend to run from wild battles unless I find them enough of a challenge.

for the old games i would always try to avoid as many of the trainers as possible because im lazy but wuth d/p i tried fighting everyone since you need to see every pokemon in the sinnoh dex to get the national dex.

I fight everyone. There is absolutely no reason not to other than laziness. By fighting, you get more entries in your Pokedex, and you get more chances to level up, as well as learning your own strategies, strengths, and weaknesses versus each Pokemon.

I battled everyone I could so I could breeze through gyms. I skipped when I didn't feel like battling, though. Which made me miss the Wormadam. XD
