    So if the orange ligue never existed in the (original) game , why is it put into the anime?!

    Ash finished up in Kanto and Game Freak hadn't finished Gold and Silver yet. The studio that makes the cartoons had to do something between Ash finishing up Kanto and Ash going to Johto.

    And since GameFreak isn't even close to done with Diamond/Pearl, we're gonna have to watch the Battle Frontier until they're done.
     
    It just a repeat of what they did few years back. What may happen is that they may rush the US location of Ash and co then go througth the Battle Frontier quick in order to get the Diamond/Pearl series to come put with the game. All part of the marketing/advertising of the game.
     
    Actually..the only reason we're even going through Battle Frontier right now is because NOW is when Japan decided to start working on the **** games when they've had about a year or so to do so while throwing out all this info to us. x_X
