Congratulations! You have just won a contest and get to decide which live-action film becomes an animated series! Wow! Lucky you!
In order to better describe your vision to the anime studio, you might want to specify a few things first so they don't get it wrong!
Which film did you want them to animate again? It was The God Father, right? No? Oh, then which film did you want them to animate? These people are pretty good, so any film you choose, even if it's Over the Top, these folk can 'anime' that for you ohohoho!
Like visual style! You wouldn't want your favorite movie, The God Father, looking like it was man handled by Matt Parker and Trey Stone, would you? It'd be god awful if Don Corleone wound up looking little better than Shin Chan right? Unless you wanted that. . .
Much like the title suggests, you can pick any film you'd like to see in anime form and which kind of style you'd like to see it in!
Me? I'd like to see the ALIEN franchise as an anime! Of course, as full episodes I'd appreciate the studio prepping the stage prior to the Nostromo's crew encounter with the Xenomorph. Perhaps on their mining expedition and maybe even a little back story from where each character was from, who they said "see you soon" to once they left the station. They could pad the episodes with basic life in space, and summarily follow plot as 'episodes' from the film. I'd like to see each film as a new 'season' with either 24 28-minute episodes or 12 40-minute episodes.
The styling? I'd appreciate a lot of visceral damage in the anime as a series and I'd love to see the artists that worked on Shigurui: Death Frenzy work on ALIEN as an anime. The detail they show with every potential line and ridge has the potential to wow the audience, much like the iconic ALIEN series of films themselves!
So, what would be your choice?
