    Here you can discuss Final Fantasy 3 for the DS.(coming soon)(YAY)
     
    I heard they switched around with the storyline. I played the original. (in ROM form) and the main characters don't even play that big a role in the game.
     
    When you played the ROM,was it in japanese still,or is there someone who actually translated it?Well,I've been looking forward to this game too.This one had never come to North America.Our FF3 is their FF6 actually.I'm not really a big FF fan,buyt I still want to get this game!
     
    I'm just throwing this out into the open to see what people think; but what do you guys think about the online feature and what will it offer to us? Co-op multiplayer online? or something else?

    It was translated to english by some dudes. Im also looking forward t it. It comes out on October or something.
     
    This should be truly awesome. Although i only ever played Final Fantasy 7 through to 9, i still love the series, and i'm probably going to play them over and over again once i get a PS3. The idea of a Final Fantasy game on the go is breathaking. The graphics look phenomenal for a DS game. No one who visits this board cannot honestly say they arn't looking foward to this game.

    Its only a few changes like the main characters mean something now and Instead of the stupid 4 orphans fell down a hole they spiced it up a little, I saw a screenshot of the new main character fighting the first boss alone. Maybe the other guys join right after or during the battle. (This is a pure guess though)

    Ohh, that sound neat already. Like your idea, I hope it turns out good.
     
    Am I the only one who honestly doesn't like the 3Dish graphics? I would have liked it more if they had stuck to the GBA as with the rest of the FF ports/remakes.
    It strikes me as odd, that III is the only Final Fantasy game to be ported to the DS while the rest are ported to the GBA.

    Nonetheless, I'll most likely give it a try.

    Well the rest are ported to GBA because it is easier and they know just as many people would buy it. The only reason they remade the graphics on III and brought it to the DS is becasue it had never been released in American before. The others have that is why V and VI will be released on GBA.

    But I am glad that 3 FF games come out three months in a row.

    - FF XII - October...
     
    US version of FFIII is delayed to Oct 3rd ( According to Gamestop/Eb games)

    US version of FFXII is on Oct 31st ( as confirmed by SE USA)

    Evil delays...I hate them...but its worth the wait.
     
    I can't wait until October 3rd! The remake of Final Fantasy III looks amazing. To respond to why it's being ported to the DS rather than the GBA, it's because they're basically remaking the graphics from scratch. FFIV-VI already have16-bit graphics and only needed minor editing to look appropriate in the modern video game world. III, however was originally made with 8-bit graphics, so it would have to be totally redone anyway. I heard it has the same graphics engine as Final Fantasy IX.
