to be honest, i figured at least sora and/or riku wouldve made it into SSBB, since nintendo does hold the FF license/disney license and i mean cmon they even had solid snake in there who, in my opinion, kinda sukd as a fighter.

EDIT: actually scratch the above lol. imagine the final smash for: Squall, Tidus or any of the KH fighters xD. hell even the Tactics guys would have some cool final smashes. like a group combo or something.

Tidus - Blitz Shot
Sora - Final Form, Trinity Limit
Roxas - Dual Wield
Riku - Dark Riku

Nintendo only owns the licenses for its 1st & 2nd Party games. Final Fantasy is owned by Square Enix & Disney is owned by Disney. Kingdom Hearts is joint owned between SE & Disney. Solid Snake was put in specifically because Hideo Kojima, creator of Metal Gear, asked for him to be included in Melee, but since he couldn't be due to time, Masahiro Sakurai, SSB & Kirby creator, asked if he'd like him included in Brawl.

According to a list put out by Sakurai, the 4 most wanted 3rd party characters for Super Smash Bros. Brawl were as follows.
1) Sonic the Hedgehog (who got in obviously)
2) Geno (from Super Mario RPG, owned by Square Enix)
3) MegaMan
4) Sora (from Kingdom Hearts series)

hmm thats true. y'know what would be cool. like a genre character selection.

instead of having one randomized screen of characters like in SSBB you could pick the FF game you want then select the character you wish from that game. y'know id imagine that gunners would have an unfair advantage in that :/ of course i guess vincent is still a good melee fighter 0.o i just thought up a good final for him lol im so stupid: either turn into chaos or into the gallian beast ^_^

still: whats in crystal's signature? if that's dissidea im going to flip and officially require getting a PSP xD
 
The pic in my sig is a gif file I found on deviantArt by someone named Intense Observation. They are, at the very least, based on the models of Dissidia Final Fantasy. One being Cloud's Advent Children Alt and the other being Terra's default model. I don't know if he ripped the models out of Dissidia or just recreated them, but its cool. My avi came from a pic he made too. It features most of the Terra models, default, alternate, default Esper, and Crystal Enemy Form. It didn't have the alternate Esper though, which is more pink than purple.

Sorry it took me so long to reply, for about a week my internet has only wanted to load PC correctly about half the time, if that. I don't know why considering that every other site I visit will load just fine.

I'm having the same problem as you, CW. =| i think it's simply the site.

You know, I've been thinking, they (for a future KH game) need LAGUNA!!! as a character from FF. He's so cool, and so forgotten. >=[
 
wow. now i officially NEED TO GET A PSP!!! lol i didnt want to get one before because at the time all i wanted that was on the PSP was Crisis Core, but now i see a pretty good reason to buy it lol. could get CC, dissidea, Birth By Sleep, FFIV. woo better break out the wallet for this one :P

also just out of curiosity, you said that was an alt costume for cloud? what all do they have for him? just the AC and original? or do they have when he was a grunt costume?
 
ah i see .... by the way.... i just got off of youtube and all i can say is

OH.....MY....GOD!!!!! i saw some videos of dissidea like (cecil vs WoL, cloud vs Squall, etc.) I will own a PSP by the time that hits english xD even if i have to rob a dang convenience store to get the money for it!!!! :D it was simply amazing! even saw terra vs bartz and she owned him in the face xD

EDIT: sorry guys just had a bit of a fanboy moment there lol. im good now, im okay :)

Umm..Final Fantasy IV is on the DS, not the PSP. For Final Fantasy, the PSP has a remake of Final Fantasy Tactics, with added characters like Balthier from FFXII called Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions, then there is Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII, Dissidia Final Fantasy, an HD remake of Final Fantasy I, and an HD remake for Final Fantasy II.

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep should be good, I like Aqua & Vent, the Roxas look-a-like. I'm also looking forward to Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days for the DS.

Cloud only gets his default (modified) original design & his Advent Children clothes and hairstyle. Every character has 2 alternate costumes, although most are minor palette swaps. The only characters with real alternate outfits are Cloud, Squall, and Sephiroth (if you can call shirtless an alternate outfit). However, Cloud is the only character to actually have his alternate change his weapon, it becomes the First Tsurugi, his sword from Advent Children. He gets its complete form during his Limit Break. Something else fun is that normal Cloud & Squall get their ultimate weapons during their Limit Breaks, the Ultima Weapon & the Lionheart.

Who knows, maybe they'll add new costumes in the NA/Eur releases.

Mine comes out August 25, 2009, so I've got 3 months. At least we don't have another case like Super Smash Bros. Brawl's where it was released months after the North American release for little to no reason.

In the SNES, PS, and GBA versions, Lunasaurs attack in a pair and guard two Ribbons. They cast Reflect on themselves, and bounce powerful Bio spells off themselves, doing about 2000 damage to a single party member each time. Possibly the most fearsome thing about them is their Bad Breath attack, causing a multitude of status ailments to the whole party. They will also attempt to use Heal if hit with an extremely powerful attack. Heal restores roughly 3000 HP. However, they are weak to Holy, and if Cecil has equipped one of his holy swords, he can inflict 9999 damage in one attack, and in tandem with Rydia's summons, the battle is easy.

In the DS release, the battle is quite different. There is only a single Lunasaur, and it is no longer weak to holy, so Cecil's swords are less effective. It opens with Bad Breath and will use it almost every turn, although it sometimes uses a physical attack instead. Once struck with an attack, the Lunasaur begins an attack pattern more similar to its original counterpart, namely casting Reflect on itself and reflecting Bio spells onto the party. As it has Reflect, Rydia must resort to summoning Ifrit to hit the Lunasaur's weakness, but this causes it to counter with Heal to restore its HP. Once the Reflect it has cast on itself wears off, Lunasaur lapses back into the pattern of using Bad Breath almost every turn until struck, at which point the pattern begins again.

Note that I haven't gotten to that part in my FFIV DS so I copied these off of the Final Fantasy Wiki.

I've stopped Dissidia temporarily to work on KH2: Final Mix+

Of course, the above about me not being back till school is out, could very well be untrue, depending on my motivation.

huh ill definitely have to check those out... wasnt balthier that blonde guy with the shotgun? lol i havent played XII yet :P

ya those both look frickin amazing!!! ya they really didnt put much effort into Ven, unless there's a specific reason for that. i was blown away by the trailer for it where terra, ven, and aqua are fightin the ansem person and clone thingy. that ....was....epic. completely blew any fight sora riku and roxas ever did lolz. 358/2 days looks pretty cool too ive seen the riku vs roxas fight and it was pretty nice :)

ya ive been trying recently to properly download a PS emulator so i can play VII and VIII since i cant save on a PS2 :(

so what else is new all? sorry ive been gone for a couple days. dealin with some school stuff atm but still tryin to get on once in awhile lolz. so has anyone seen anything new for XIII and Versus XIII? i saw trailers for XIII a year or so ago with lightning shootin the crap outta some people and just recently saw a trailer for versus that looked pretty badass.

This is not true-one character I know has three for each game(if you don't count crisis core and kingdom hearts)
Yuffie in the original she looks like this(clicky) and in Advent children has this(clicky again) and in DoC when she looks like this(even more clicky)

thatd be nice, but it probably wont happen. the story's probably set with what they have. if there's new characters, theyll be secret ones other than shantotto and judge magister.
