As for my favorite character, I'm going to say Squall Lionheart from Final Fantasy VIII.
I just loved his bad*** I don't care attitude, and his apparel XD

Serenity, keep an eye out, I have two Chocobo Banners on the way, as well as another Moogle one, this time from VIII.

Donnie, Squall Leonhart is one of my fav males, tied with Zack Fair, and both in front of my second place, Cloud Strife. I have a banner featuring him coming soon.
 
As Akera noticed, I have updated the banners. The Final Fantasy IV Advance Banners are almost the same as the Normal Final Fantasy IV Banners except that I used the updated mugshot art, I included the SNES/PS versions for people who prefer the classic versions. One key difference between IV Original & IV Advance is that Golbez has a mugshot in IV Advance thats used for when he speaks, so I made a Golbez Banner.

Final Fantasy IX

They all have every mugshot that is available in the games that they represent, except for Final Fantasy III. Since there is a different mugshot for each and every class in the game, I just made ones of their default forms and their Onion Knight class, because of the original III having you start with three Onion Knights and because of Onion Knight in Dissidia Final Fantasy. Dissidia Onion Knight looks very similar to Ingus' Onion Knight, in hair and color, and his alternate costume is based on Luneth in his Onion Knight class, I included Onion Knight forms of Refia and Arc for good measure.

OK,I'm obsessed with chocobos! (I've even got chocobo tales on my DS Lite!) Their just sooo soo cute!
 
fav female? hmm thats a tough one..
id have to say Ashe from FFXII
even though i didnt like the battle system..at all.
i liked some of the characters. but in my opinion FFXII was terrible.

The banners look cool! Not sure which one to use though. lol The background was a good idea to have it like the FF6 buttons, and the text... what is that text called anyway? (or font, whatever you wanna call it)

My fav female is Terra Branford, Human form and Esper form, of Final Fantasy VI, closely followed by Rydia, adult and child, from Final Fantasy IV. Rydia's pretty as an adult and adorable as a child. I guess I have a thing for Green Haired Girls. I've included pics of both girls. The 1st is Terra in the midst of transforming into her Esper Form, and the second is of both the child and adult forms of Rydia

White backgrounds? You mean for the VII, VIII, & IX ones? There isn't much I can do about those ones since they are actual pictures instead of sprites, the problem is that its hard to take out the white since it isn't actually all one color, its many different whites and it would look more unattractive to take it off since there would still be bits of white left in. Besides, thats exactly how they look in their origin game.

The text is the actual font used in the Final Fantasy SNES games, though I forget if I took that text from IV, V, or VI.

I like Final Fantasy III DS, though I prefered IV DS, its pretty solid, even for the original's age.
