That's 3 PM by you then Wolfie, if you're in the UK. ;)
Well, I picked up Dissidia Final Fantasy from GameStop this morning, literally right when they opened at 10:30. They unlocked the doors for me and I walked in and picked up the first copy sold for their store. I was wearing my Terra Branford outfit, with my hair dyed green of course.
I have to say, its a blast. I'm playing through it in the order I first played the respective character's game. So here is the exact order I'm going in.
X, VII, VIII, IX, IV, V, VI, I, II, III
As of writing this, I've beaten X & VII and am currently going through VIII. I've already bought alternate costumes for everyone but Tidus and the villians. Sadly, I found out that the costumes don't appear in story mode scenes, although you can switch in and out of them at anytime during a story.
Oh yeah, and announced last night, Dissidia: Universal Tuning. Your typical International/Final Mix version of a Square Enix series. Not much is known. It could be like FFVII:International and have nothing our versions don't or be like FFXII:International Zodiac Job System and be almost new game.
I love dressing up. I'm glad that my Terra costume has a tight skirt since it was windy and I went with her alternate costume as the basis for it so I didn't wear tights and it was a windy day. I also didn't wear the cape, it wasn't finished yet, the hair ornaments, except for the ribbon, or the weaponry, obviously. Oh, and I hope I don't get in trouble for mentioning this, when I was looking for screenshots of Terra in her alternate costume, I noticed that Terra wears white panties. I state this only because I try to be as accurate as possible when I cosplay, right down to the smallest, almost unnoticeable detail. Amazingly, I had shoes almost exactly like Terra's, except they were leather, so I grafted fabric on to it in the right pattern.Love that you dressed up!
None of the voices in Dissidia are all that bad, I kinda like most of them. Terra's sounds fine, as do the others. The only thing I have to say is that Ultimecia's VA in the JP version voiced her in a sultry way whereas her VA in the NA/EU version voices her as more of a self-important witch (in the mean sense, not the magic sense, even though she is a sorceress). Her voice is still good though.I've heard that Terra's English voice is mildly cringe-worthy. D:
Anyway, I'll wait to get Dissidia just a bit because I already own the japanese copy, and I want 358/2 Days more.
In the meantime I'm playing some more FFXII: IZJS. ;D
I had my first day of school today, ick.
