FFIV was my fave 2D FF, with VI in 2nd.

I never really got the grasp of the plot-lines on the other FF games, I barely get the plot of FF10 (Mainly 'cuse I only got through the first.... 10 mins of gameplay before I lost the game) and FF10-2 dosen't seem to have one, neither does FF12... God, why do I play these games?! *Looks at weapons arsenal* ahhhh... shiny swordie :3

FF12 and FFX-2 don't have plots? xD What kind of rock did you liver under? Sorry, I don't care if you don't like the games but please don't go as far as to say they don't have plots.

FFX-2 has a fine plot, even if it is nonlinear. And FF12 has such an immense plot that even with two sequals and three prequals there are still some unanswered questions. FF12 probably has the second most mature storyline to date, the only stories that would have a chance of preceding it are FFTactics or FF8. There hasn't been a Final Fantasy game yet that didn't have a plot, but just because you don't like it, doesn't mean it's not there.

Maybe I overreacted. It's just really infuriating. Sorry.

EDIT: Oh yeah, my original reason for coming here was to say I bought Dissidia. So now I own the Japanese Version and the English one. ;)

As for another comment, I like FFIV, its my fourth favorite, right behind VI, VIII, and VII.

Now, wee187, I NEVER said that I didn't like them. I don't like SOME of them, I think the franchise is very well developed, and every game has it's high points and low points. And some low points just really make me mad is all, lol
 
My Fave Is FFVII [Well Never!!XD] and then FFVI even though It gets boring at times....Damn Storyline!!

I don't like it, I keep getting stuck. I'm at the tower of Zot, reasonable levels, but I just seem to get creamed everytime.

I prefer FFIII on the DS, that was fun.
 
Well FFIV DS really booted up the difficulty from the past US versions, this now rivals the original SNES Japanese difficulty. It's an easy game to get stuck on, but with the right strategy it's not so bad. Oftentimes I would win battles with HP left in the single digits on the DS game, but then again, that's what makes it fun. It's those memorable battles that you barely win that make real marks upon you as a gamer. The most recent one I had was in my FFXII marathon run, fighting Cid in Draklor. Half of my party was dead before the first Rook dropped, but somehow I managed to pull that fight off. All I can say is that I ran through over 40 X-Potions, and about 25 Hi-Potons, and I abused the CET trick like mad. Fighting Cid with level 25-30 characters is one thing, but when they have extremely bad armor and Licenses, it's another. Each attack from Cid was doing damn near 800 damage a pop, but, like I said, I pulled it off. ;D I'd like to see what the crazy people that say FFXII plays itself would say if they saw my battle against Cid. That one will stay with me for a long time.

Same thing with Undying in IZJS first time, I was so underleveled, and I did literally 2 hunts only the entire game or so. Other great fights like that are Rubicante, and a lot of the bosses from the ealier games. FFVII-IX aren't that hard until the end of the games, so those weren't as bad. The story made up for it though, heh.

I think I just got lucky with it, the only boss I had big problems with other than the final boss is the Demon Wall, how he kept moving towards you. I was like '>=O NOOOEESSS' XDD

Be sure to tell us what it's like, only to make me feel worse XDD
 
Well almost anyone in the world can get it now, it's released in both NA, EU, and JP now, so why can't you Wolfie?

You should be. Its an awesome game, I've already got Terra & Cloud to Lvl 100, Squall will be following suit since he's at about Lvl 58.

I'm still excited about the possible sequel since it will for sure have Lightning & Kain Highwind, since Nomura wanted them both in the 1st game, and Kingdom Hearts may be put in, a controversial subject I know, but I love the idea, KH works well with FF.
 
Well as long as Ashe is in it next time around I'm happy. I really like Lightning, and Kain is really okay, but it won't be especially loved by wee187 unless Ashe is in there. And if Vaan is in there instead of Ashe.... *cringes and leaves the thread for now*

Here's my list of characters who should be in a next Dissidia! I'm going off the guess that each FF game would have TWO heroes next time for the most part.

FF1 - same
FF2 - Firion, Maria
FF3 - Onion Knight, Luneth please?
FF4 - Cecil, Kain
FF5 - Bartz, Lenna
FF6 - Terra, Locke
FF7 - Cloud, Tifa
FF8 - Squall, Rinoa
FF9 - Zidane, Garnet
FF10 - Tidus, Yuna
FF11 - same
FF12 - Ohhh this is hard. I want Gabranth replaced/added along with Cid and/or Vayne, with Ashe, Balthier, and/or Basch as the heroes. Preferably Ashe vs Vayne.
FF13 - Lightning, Snow
FFTactics - Ramza, Mustadio(I think Deleta might make a better villain than hero)
FFTA - Marche, Ritz
FFTA2 - Luso, Adelle

I wouldn't mind seeing FFX-2 or Crystal Chronicles in there either, although I don't like Crystal Chronicles much.

Wow, it's been a while since I posted in this thread.

I went and got Dissidia on friday. I've been playing through the story modes of each character.
I can't seem to put it down.
 
Is your katakana in your username suppose to be "jack" or "Zack"? Just wondering. ;D because Zack's katakana goes like this:

Lol, I love katakana and stuff. That's what playing IZJS does to me. ヘイスガ = Haste ;D
