Ok, since I am in to the new generation and everything, I have decided to start a fire deck, consisting of only fire types, a few normal types and a few trainers.

If this is a good deck, I might use it.

    25X Fire Energy
    x2 Pansear
    x1 Simisear
    x1 Reshiram
    x3 Tepig
    x1(might change) Pignite
    x1 Emboar
    x2 Lillipup
    x1 Herdier
    x2 Stoutland
    x1 Eevee
    x1 Flareon
    x2 Pidgey
    x1 Pidgeotto
    x1 Pidgeot
    x1 Team Galactic's Charizard
    x1 Rare Candy
    x1 B&W Potion
    x2 Full Heal
    x3 Proffesor Juniper
    x2 Energy Retrival
    x1 Energy Stadium
    x1 Energy Switch
    x3 Switch

    Any suggestions are appreciated.

Which Emboar? The one with the Fiery Fandango Ability, or the one with the attack for 150 damage?

Also, Team Galactic's Charizard (more commonly known as Charizard G) isn't legal in the new modified format anymore. The new modified format is HGSS-on.

Which sets are each of the non-Black and White Pokemon from?

You will probably be destroyed at leagues until you get some more cards. What other rares do you have?

The Emboar is the one with 150 attack. The Pidgey, Pidgeotto and Pidgeot are from all different ones. I am not really familiar with sets.

Hmm... any other rares? I dunno. None that are Fire/Normal, that's for sure.

The Emboar is the one with 150 attack. They are all from the first B&W series.

Ah, okay. It's the one nicknamed "Badboar" (but it really isn't all that bad, it's just that the other Emboar is really freaking amazing and makes everything around it that's Fire-type better). Not a bad card. The other Emboar is better, but that version's prices are probably going to be astronomical.

I ask about your other rares because maybe there's something better in there that could either help out this deck or be a star of another deck. This deck will get trampled in tournaments.
