Fire or Water?

    The debate is on-going: Which is greater,Water or Fire?

    my personal Favorite type is water so i'll defend my answer: simply because they are the second most powerful pokemon, only behind Dragons. Ok, I'll admit, Gamefreak and The Pokemon company always make the Fire type Look the coolest, i mean come on: Charizard,Blaziken,Typhlosion,Magmar,Rapidash,Arcanine,Moltres just to name a few. But when it comes to sheer power, Water takes the cake. I just cant believe that they would do that, Generation after generation Fire and Dragon get the most respect and get the coolest drawings, and Water, Grass, and a lot of other types just get a slap in the face animation. That's not cool. But if any of you have any other rivalries(e.g. grass vs. poison), state them here.(but answer my question first).
     
    Um. Water, but this would be better off in General Games Discussion as it doesn't refer to R/B/Y/G/S/C.
     
    in direct combat, then water is the clear winner.

    But to each his own. I'm not too wild about either type, so I stay neutral here...
     
    I dunno... But by appearance, Fire is wayy cooler! Pokemon is like a big rock-paper-scissor game, but with 17 elements instead of 3
     
    well i like fire much better, but when starting out in the games i prefer water, because it usually kicks the first gym leader's butt
     
    *sigh* i know it doesn't belong here, i made a mistake, i will move it and edit this when i do. But water is Victorious once again!
     
    Water is my favorite type besides dark. It also has the type advantage in battle, so yeah, I'd have to say water for this one :P

    I think there's a good amount of cool-looking water Pokemon too: Suicune, Gyarados, Swampert, Blastoise, Milotic, Totodile, Seadra, and Golduck would all be on my list of water pokemon that look awesome.
     
    Despite the fact that I'm never without a water Pokemon on my team, and despite the type advantage... I don't like many Water Pokemon. There are just too many of them, and far too many are just... bleh... Water is boring.

    So out of Water and Fire, Fire is the winner. But Fire's boring too, so that's why I always start off with a Grass-type! Gogo Venusaur, Meganium, and Sceptile!!
     
    Seeing as i hate almost all fire types, and use a solrock if need a fire based attack. I don't like water that much either, they are "bleh". Just give me a ghost and i'll be happy.
     
    I like Water, since it's one of my favourite types anyway. But I choose Fire because it's one of my favourite favourite types XD and because of one simple water Pokemon that seems to pester you everytime you surf: Tentacool -_-
     
    Although I have ta agree that water will beat fire anytime, judgin' fire an' water by weaknesses an' resistances I'd go for fire-types. ^^;;
     
    I'd have to agree, there are TOO many water types, but most of them are weak. Water is my favorite type, and Gyrados,Blastoise,Kyogre are my favorite, but the majority of water types are garbage, unless you are the ultimate pokemon trainer, which in that case, you'd beat people with a Magikarp. Speaking of which, why is the Water type have the weakest of all types? Isn't that kind of unfair? Where does Magikarp fit in the rock paper scissors effect?
     
    I prefer fire types to water just because, but water would obviously beat a fire type in battle. So water is the strongest, but I prefer fire pokemon in looks.
     
    besides just pickin squrtile water types suck and i be likin them fire types betta even if they weak against water fire is strong
