    Hey guys

I know they dont have internal battery so does that mean that my save is safe forever? And that I will never loose the pokemon in it and still be able to play it for as long as im alive?

The main reason for the battery was to keep track of time- even if the battery runs out on a Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald cartridge, the save remains on the cartridge, but time-based events no longer happen.

So while nothing's guaranteed (you never know what could cause a game save to corrupt 10 or 20 years down the line), your save file should be safe for a very, very long time.

I'm no expert, but personally I reccomend atleast transfering your Pokemon to a 4th gen game. I've never seen a DS game just stop working for no reason :)
