Fire Red Battle Tower

I've beaten Fire Red countless of times but never once have I attempted to take on the Battle Tower, until now (mostly because I'm board and curious). I've chosen a team already but if anyone has any suggestions on changes or extra advice in taking on the challenges, it would be most helpful.

I'm planning to take on the Singles Challenge first.
