    Hi, i'm new to ROM hacking and I've got a problem. I did some rearranging in pallet town and now when you're leaving town and oak shows up the text and everything still happens but oak does not show up. I did not edit any scripts just changed the layout of the town.

    Sounds like you deleted his sprite on advance map, moved him or the path he needs to take has changed. The script which activates for the Oak's interference of the player's moving has hard coded movements. So there's no movement like "Oak walk to player", rather it's coded like, "Oak move 3 up, 2 right, 5 up ....ect".

    So you'll need to edit/remake the scripted movements so Oak goes to your intended destination.
