3rd Gen FireRed not saving?

I play all my GBA and DS games on my Nintendo DS [C], and somehow my FireRed isn't saving anymore, I've created around 2 new games because it doesn't save my current data, and it keeps saying that there is already a file, but then when I try the game again it doesn't take me to the start current game, it just automatically takes me to the new game screen.

Can I fix this in any way? Or an suggestions why it's doing this?

The DS is saving my data for my DS games, but not my GBA. That is why it's weird.

Sound's like your slot's bust or something. Have you tried any other games?

Do you have a GBA to play FireRed on? I have heard of cases that it doesnt save on the DS

Problem is that I had an old game saved on my FireRed and it worked, and this one doesn't. I think I resested it or something o_o

no, it saves on a DS. I'd know, mine saves.

It could be a counterfeit. Those are known to fail.

...Or the internal battery could have died, though this is not likely on the GBA games only 3-5 years after the release of that generation. What was/is your playing time on that file?

i play all my games evan my original red blue and yellow silver gold and crystal Fire Red Leaf green ruby satphire and emerald Only one of them has stop saving and it was silver and i don't think your Ds is the problem cause i play all of the GBA games in it unless im trading

Maybe it was a pirated version. If not, try testing other games. This has happened to my Ruby before so, I know the situation. Hmm, where did you buy it? Was it a second-hand game?

Anyway sweetie, sorry it sounds like the internal battery in your game has died. =/

Your internal battery has most probably died.

"Your internal battery has run dry. The game can still be played but the progress made cannot be recorded."
Does something like that show up when you start your game? If so, I'm afraid that you'll have to buy a new cartridge.
