4th Gen Firestones?

Are there any reliable ways of getting them?

I've been digging for hours and haven't pulled up a single one. I'm up to my ears in leaf stones. Are there anywhere you can buy them or turn in spheres to get them?

Also: What are those colored shards used for?

what game do you have? cuz in my diamond ive found at least like 4 firestones, digging in those walls.

maybe in Diamond Firestones are more common to find then Leaf stones and its the other way around for Pearl

ya i think your right Queen Boo I dug up 5 fire stones in my diamond but I have found no leaf stones

To add to that, I've gotten Thunder Stones from digging, but not a single Water Stone. Wonder why they made it so difficult to get stones this time around. Seems migrating stones is the only good way to get them when you need them. =/

Oh, and the colored shards are basically just good for trading to the miners inside the underground tunnel for traps and decorations. (hm, just remembered I had a load of those things buried for the passed couple weeks...)

Edit: oh, wait, that's the spheres lol. The shards are tradeable to a lady near Pastoria (forgot the route, the one west of it). She gives you one of the four weather TMs when you give her 10 of a same colored shard.
