    Hey! Ive been doing alot of reading on competitive game play as its something I want to try later on.
    I haven't played a Pokemon since blue so a lot is new to me.

    This is a team I came up with and would like any kind of feedback

    Mirai (Arcanine) (F) @ Life Orb
    Ability: Intimidate
    EVs: 72 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SDef / 176 Spd
    Adamant Nature
    - Flare Blitz
    - Extreme Speed
    - Wild Charge
    - Close Combat

    Metagross @ Leftovers
    Ability: Clear Body
    EVs: 252 HP / 96 Atk / 160 Spd
    Adamant Nature
    - Zen Headbutt
    - Meteor Mash
    - Pursuit
    - Earthquake

    Xatu @ Leftovers
    Ability: Magic Bounce
    EVs: 252 HP / 96 SDef
    Careful Nature
    - Toxic
    - Roost

    Ability: Natural Cure
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd

    I have Cloyster,Arcanine,Metagross,Xatu already in game in pokemon Y But have yet to use them online.

    I want to keep Arcanine in my team,possibly Cloyster. Thank you!
     
    A Careful nature weakens Xatu's Psychic. Use a Calm nature and the EV spread 252 HP/240 SDef/16 Spe.

    A Jolly nature is still Cloyster's preferred nature because with Adamant, it fails to outspeed certain Choice Scarf opponents.

    Blastoise gained a Mega Evolution in X/Y. Instead of having to use Foresight on Ghosts to ensure Rapid Spin goes off, it can eliminate them outright with Dark Pulse. Mega Blastoise has Mega Launcher, which boosts the power of Aura and Pulse moves:
    -Hydro Pump/Scald/Water Pulse
    -Dark Pulse
    -Ice Beam/Dragon Pulse/Aura Sphere
    -Rapid Spin
    Nature: Modest
    EVs: 252 HP/252 SAtk/4 SDef
    Item: Blastoisenite

    Metagross' current set is best utilized with Choice Band. Use 164 HP/252 Atk/92 Spe as the EV spread with Choice Band. Its current spread is best off utilizing Stealth Rock.

    Also Stealth rock as a TM is not x and y,so can Metagross learn it in this game yet?
