Also probably my first time making an OU team... I don't have much experience with competitive battling but I've gathered something... I think.

Friend of mine told me incarnate version would work better than a Scarfed Therian form. Hmmm...

Focus Punch's negative priority and how easy it is to disrupt outside of Substitute is why Mega Swampert never runs it:
    -Waterfall
    -Earthquake
    -Ice Punch
    -Low Kick/Superpower/Rain Dance
    Nature: Adamant
EVs: 104 HP/252 Atk/152 Spe (outspeeds threats up to Mega Sceptile and Mega Beedrill under rain, though 252/252 Atk/Spe can still be used if you're paranoid about Scarf Therian Landorus)
    Item: Swampertite

Tornadus (either form) is better than Dragonite. It still has those never-miss Hurricanes under rain; the Incarnate version can even act as a backup rain inducer thanks to Prankster. IMO, rain Dragonite has taken a hit in usefulness now that Drizzle got nerfed. The Therian version is a better offensive pivot because of Regenerator healing off its HP when it leaves battle:

    Incarnate:
    -Rain Dance
    -Hurricane
    -Focus Blast/Superpower
    -Knock Off/Taunt
    Nature: Naive/Timid
    EVs: 4 Atk/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Damp Rock
    Ability: Prankster

    Therian:
    -Hurricane
    -U-turn
    -Superpower
    -Taunt
    Nature: Naive
    EVs: 76 Atk/216 SAtk/216 Spe
    Item: Life Orb

    or
    -Hurricane
    -Focus Blast
    -U-turn
    -Knock Off
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 132 HP/160 SAtk/216 Spe
    Item: Assault Vest

you should try kingdra over dragonite, performs mixed duties really well and abuses rain!
    Kingdra @ Life Orb
    Ability: Swift Swim
    EVs: 64 Atk / 216 SpA / 228 Spe
    rash Nature
    - Hydro Pump
    - Waterfall
    - Draco Meteor
    - Outrage

I slightly dislike that superpower forces me to switch out and that low kick forces me to rely on opponents weight... But I'll consider them. I also don't want my team to be too reliant on rain (being able to *function* properly without it on, just that the rain helps)... I just saw that it could learn power up punch, would that be viable?

I see, so the volt switch and regenerator work really well then. Isn't prankster worth it though, I find that thunderwave can really save my ass sometimes against some people who already have set up quite a bit.

IMO, the harder hits on Ferrothorn and Wash Rotom (with Low Kick and Superpower, respectively), outweigh Power-Up Punch's Attack boosts. Once the rain wears off, Mega Swampert will most likely have to switch out.

Yeah after thinking about it, I need to deal damage as soon as possible since rain only lasts 8 turns, I think I'll go with super power =)

MAKE SURE THAT THE POKEMON WITH DRIZZLE ABILITY SHOUL HAVE SLOW STATS BECAUSE IF IT IS FASTER THEN ANY OTHER POKEMON LIKE TYRANITAR CAN MAKE RAIN USELESS KEEP A GROUND TYPE WITH SANDSTORM TO COUNTER ELECTRIC TYPE ALSO HAVE THE MOVE RAINDANCE IN CASE BATTLE IS TOO LONG

Politoed is rather slow itself, so it can get the rain up before any speedy variants of Tyranitar. Rain teams focus on keeping Politoed alive so it can set up rain again and again when needed.

Swampert is also a Ground Pokemon, meaning it can also dispatch Tyranitar in and out of rain.
