Basically the goal of this deck is to target certain Pokemon on the bench, ignoring the active for the most part. Aerodactyl is to lock down poke powers since so many are used nowadays. Kingdra Prime has a different way of going about damaging a Pokemon since there are abilities that say they can't take damage, this isn't technically damaging the., its placing another counter. Lumineon is real nice in this deck since one, it also targets bench Pokemon, two, if an opponent is saving a Pokemon for the right moment, I can take that moment away from them and start damaging it asap. Glaceon offers a chance to do damage to both a bench Pokemon and the active in one move, but the true jewel with her is Level X, which is another poke power lock down plus a strong active hitter that has a chance of doing more to all opponents bench Pokemon. Then with spiritomb/trainer cards are basically deck thinners that get the cards I need.

thoughts? Opinions? I haven't played much with the new cards, I'm just now getting back into this area, mainly just playing the video games. I actually stopped playing with the cards back when the first gold and silver were new so any help would be great.

Edit: changed up the list, switched out the illegal cards and took out the vaporeons.

I see a few too many Pokemon in there, for starters. I'd probably drop at least one evolution line, like maybe all 3 Vaporeon and 1 Eevee, since 60 isn't all that much nowadays.

Also, Roseanne's Research isn't play legal, as far as I'm aware, unless they printed it in HGSS Triumphant. It was last printed in Legends Awakened, so it's not play legal. Look at using Interviewer's Questions and Pokemon Collector in its place instead.

Should I up the glaceon count then? Oh, didn't realize it was cycled, can't find a current list. XD thanks, I will probably use Pokemon collector then, thanks for the advice.

Legends awakened is modified, but roseanne's research is from secret wonders so it isn't legal anymore, night maintenance as well.

You've got some good trainer/supporter stuff going on in the list so far. The lumineon line seems very thick to me, 3-3-3 isn't the most efficient because you won't need the middle evolution as much as long as you have rare candy. Generally for a tech you might just use 1 basic, 1 stage one, and one stage 2, to avoid cluttering your deck. However if you're worried about never drawing into the cards with only one of each, I'd say two of each maximum.

Unless vaporeon is like your favorite pokemon, I would reconsider it in this deck. You already have two very viable attackers (glaceon and kingdra), and vaporeon seems like it would take time and resources away from setting up your main pokemon.

Your trainers and supporters look good, those cards all see a lot of play. I'd replace roseanne's with pokemon collector from heart gold soul silver, and night maintenence with either palmer's contribution or pokemon rescue.

There is only finneon and lumineon in the chain, no stage two. Is there a current list of legal sets? I'm glad that my trainer set is good, I will look into those others to replace those illegal. And I will be switching up the vaporeons, I will update the deck list in a bit.
