this literally REQUIRES doesntknowhowtoplay's physical/special split patch. there's no reason not to ahaha
i believe that you should be able to just point to either a.) the routine, or b.) the 18th (17th +1 for THUMB mode) byte of the routine (to skip the sturdy check and go straight to "CheckHP"
this would be the battle effect and not the field script or however your item editor puts it
i may be totally wrong, though, so good luck
EDIT: so, what we need to do in a basic sense is check for the item that we want focus sash to be within the updated sturdy effect and then branch off to CheckHP.

while attempting to test i had forgotten that i set the max level to 6 when attempting to help out elaf
so yeah, ahaha
EDIT2: so i manage to get the item check in there and everything
but, it will say "[Pokemon] ENDURED the hit!" and then continue to activate every time, keeping it at one HP. will fix <3
