I had four Christmases! 5 presents [each] at the first two, plenty at the third and the last one wasn't so great.
At my first one I got a tin of pokemon cards, $10, A $20 Gamestop gift card, A box of chocolate (yuck), and Despicable Me/Minion Madness DVD
At the second: Pokemon Ranger Shadows of Almia, Pokemon Ranger Guardian Signs, Mario Kart Wii, A Dolphin pillow pet (=/ twas from grandma), and a shiny red bicycle!
At the third: Gah, too many small things to name, but the more important things were: PMD: Explorers of Sky, Super Mario Sunshine, A SD Card, Ratchet and Clank, and Ratchet Deadlocked
At the final Xmas: Just Cause, A hoodie, Another hoodie that didn't fit, a $20 K-Mart gift card, A $40 Gamestop gift card and all of my step-sister's Inuyasha Manga books.
That may sound like a lot, but it really isn't...and I already beat half of the games I got.
Are these closed or can I still put up an SU.
If so i'll put my SU up right now.

*Shifter:
>Name: Joshua Cross[prefers Josh to Joshua]
>Age: 19
>Gender: Male
>Appearance:
Josh has Dark hair that he keeps unmanaged but much shorter then his eyes. His eyes are brown near the center of the iris and green going towards the outer iris. He is a little under 6ft tall and weighs a little under 175lb. He also has a beard that isn't very long, just long enough to look like more then 5 o'clock shadow but more like he hasn't shaved for a few days. He is also fairly muscular with a just barely noticeable amount of fat.
Clothing: Josh normally sticks to having a dark t-shirt although when its cold he'll put on a gray hoodie. He sticks to wearing jeans even in the summer just because he likes how all-around useful jeans are. Normally sticks to wearing a set of black and blue running shoes but has a pair of black dress shoes for special occasions. Also does not wear hats, sunglasses, or any kind of piercing. Has a tattoo of a burning tree on his upper arm and a large scar across his back.
>Personality: Josh is one who doesn't care very much for words and thus is a very blunt person. He is also someone who just can't leave something mostly finished, if he is close to the end he feels he must complete it, even if it would be easier and quicker to do it later. He is a socially inept person who prefers reading to other people and electronic exposure to human exposure. He is also a someone who has a deep interest in engineering and computers. He is also someone who is has trouble paying attention to others and often gets lost in conversations due to inattentiveness.
Josh also is also someone who is quickly angered by people who purposely make trouble, and those who don't take certain things as seriously as they should. Also he is someone who believes people are mostly good but that everyone but that people have to be careful around others to protect against those who would want to hurt them, making him seem only a bit paranoid. He has love only for his family, finding it hard to connect with others in any meaningful way outside of what he considers his family. Is also a good writer but prefers subjects with more tangible right and wrong[like arithmetic] then to the more philosophical subjects[less easily answered, where the lines of right and wrong are blurred or nonexistent].
>History: Josh was born in Cerulean city into a family with a mother, father, and a sister that was three years older then him. Josh learned to read by himself by the time he wa four and afterwards spent most of his time reading, or playing with his sister and Odessa, his Umbreon. As he grew his sister and him stopped playing as much as Josh's sister made friends in school. When he was twelve he was in a car crash that left him with a large scar on his back, left his father paraplegic, and killed his sister. His father eventually made a recovery although for several months he still needed crutches to walk.
Three months after he was released from the hospital from the car crash[having to have gotten surgery to realign his spine after the crash] he left home with Odessa to explore the world. As he explored he questioned the value of life and mourned his sisters death. As he spent the next few years exploring and grieving he came to the conclusions to several hard questions for himself and came to many different conclusions. He eventually reconciled himself with his sisters death and learned to live with the knowledge that some questions cannot be answered, only supposed. When he returned home his father was fully recovered and it had become apparent that he was a shifter. Since then he has been exploring being a shifter, studying engineering, and mathematics.

>Name: Odessa
>Gender: Female
>Species: Umbreon
>Personality: Odessa is open to the idea of new people and places, while not dwelling on old things too long. She is playful but capable of being serious when the situation calls for it. Odessa also has a talent for understanding why people do things, even if she doesn't approve of the action itself allowing her to have empathy for the actions of others.
[I'm re-using a sample I did for another RP, so just for reference the guy in this story is remembering learning how his sister died]
[brackets in sample mean its in his memory, outside of brackets its the present]
RP Sample: Steve was looking at the wall, surrounded by his own dark memories and emotions [Reading in my room, everything is fine]. Steve's eye notices a little crack in the wall for the thousandth time and traces it across the room [doorbell rings, can't be Sarah, the shop doesn't close for another hour and a half]. The crack ends in the corner of the room farthest from him, he falls completely into the memory he was trying to avoid [Opens the door, an officer is standing in place, looking grave. Steve's stomach drops, something isn't right, someones been hurt. The officer speaks, his voice is too low to hear, he stops then starts again louder "There has been an incident, we've been asked to pick you up from this location." Steve doesn't know what to do, what would Sarah think.... slowly a feeling worse then dread creeps through his body "What's happened?" he asks. The cop doesn't answer, Steve doesn't ask again, he just follows to the car, not a police vehicle, just a car.] He pulls himself out of his memories for a moment, he realizes his throat is dry, but he doesn't want to get up, he just wants to focus on staying in the present, but its so hard, he gives up, "Let the memory finish, its too hard to fight" he thinks, he drifts back ["A hospital?" He thinks with a grim joy, hospital means injury, not death, he both feels the pressure let up a little, but the thing worse then dread stays with him, even injury is still a terrible thing. They walk in the doors, they go left, it starts getting cold, a sign "Morgue" it reads. His insides crumble against the pressure of what has happened, "gone" he thinks, over and over and over and over, he falls against the wall. The officer asks if hes ok, he thinks no but says yes. They keep walking, doors spread apart, his sister is there, on a table, theres a hole in her upper chest, it all goes dark.... he wakes up, in a bed, its warmer then before but the bed is nearly as stiff as the floor was,the realization hits him, his sisters dead, i'm in a hospitable bed because I passed out, there are no tears, just sadness, a deep, deep, sadness.] Steve looks at the ceiling, he stares at the light, after a minute he looks towards the wall again and counts how many seconds it takes for he can no longer see the lights outline on the wall.
I hope you like it, even if it is too late to sign-up.

>Name: Raike Destan
>Age: 20
>Gender: Male
Physical: Raike's hair color is a very dark shade of brown, why the hairstyle itself is mostly messy, covering his left eye. His eyes are a darker shade of blue. He stands at about 5'9 and is moderately built. His skin color is a light tan.
Clothing: Raike tends to wear a blue t-shirt with a white jacket. He wears baggy blue jeans with a chain. His shoes' base color is black. He wears special black gloves that can allow him to touch pokemon such as Electrike or Infernape without getting serverely burned or electrocuted.
>Personality: Raike's original nature is very isolated. He likes to be alone with his pokemon some of the time. However, he is not completely anti-social, as he eventually warms up to people. He likes to keep his pokemon out of their pokeballs, and will when traveling or simply walking through a town. He does not take pokemon abuse lightly, and thoroughly punishes those who do show such behavior.
In battles he stays calm and collected, but can be quite fierce. He sometimes works out strategies, or as an alternative he likes to just try different tactics. Only when enraged will he go all out, as it is a very reckless thing to do and can often get your pokemon injured. Despite his isolated nature, he can be very courageous, and would not be one to leave any person(friend or stranger) or pokemon in dangerous situations. He possesses a very strong sense of pokemon rights, and some would say he cares more for the pokemon, rather than people.
>History: Sky grew up in a rich family in Viridian city, with a mother and father and an older brother. Unfortunately, his brother got all the love and attention, while Raike was always the one who" couldn't do anything right, and was always blamed for everything bad that happened. Raike then began to harbor a grudge against his family, and swore that one day he would leave. One night at the age of 3 whilst Raike was trying to sleep he heard sounds of fighting outside; he looked out of the window to see an Eevee trying to defend itself against a Poochyena. Raike got out of his bed, put his shoes on, and grabbed one of the 3 empty pokeballs he had stolen from his brother's room.
He ran outside and put himself between the Eevee and the Poochyena trying to defend the Eevee. Raike threw the pokeball, it shook, again...again.. Stabilized! He walked up to the pokeball, picking it up and holding it to his face, smiling. He then waved goodbye to the Eevee and began to walk back to the house, it followed him into the house. Raike tried to tell it to go back to the forest but it did not listen, insisting on staying with him, so eventually he let it, he then snuck into his brother's room and stole a bag of pokemon food, stashing it in his room He then fed the Eevee and captured it, naming her Raven.
For the next 17 years, he trained it, at night. On the night his 20th birthday, it evolved into Umbreon, Raike named her Raven. That was the night he left his parents house, sneaking out with clothing and food both for him and Raven, who insisted on being out of her pokeball now. He then began traveling the world. During his travels, he met a mysterious man who began to teach him about shifting, telling him he was a late bloomer, as most shifters learn about their powers at the age of 15. So Raike trained with the man, sharpening his shifting skills.
>RP Sample: -It had been some time since Raike had traveled like this. No more training or practice, just him and Raven. As they walked through the forest, he smiled, looking down at her, thinking about all the weird things they had encountered. Three empty pokeballs hung at his waist- "Heh so Raven, we've been walking from some time now, but I don't suppose you know how far we are from the next city huh?" -The Umbreon looked up at him. Both her face and her thoughts spelled out" Are you serious?
"Heh yeah I'm just playing with ya" -Raven rolled her eyes and kept walking. After a few more miles, she found a clearing and sat there looking at him with her ruby colored eyes.- "Heh, this seems like a good spot, and it looks like you're done for the day huh?" -Raike pulled out a small flag out of his bag and stuck it in the ground, to mark the area- "Well, are gonna help me get some firewood or am I gonna have to go myself?" -A few hours later Raike was lying down on his bedspread looking at the stars in the night sky. Raven wasn't too close, but she was close enough to feel comfortable.- "Hey Raven do you think that the Legend of Palkia is true?" -He asked this still looking at the sky. Raven shrugged and closed her eyes, sending a message mentally adding a hint of irritation- "Heh yeah right, time to sleep... Good night!" -Raike then rolled over on his side, and soon he too, was fast asleep.- *Catalyst:

Okay a couple of things.
It is very hard to read with all your paragraphs together, try spacing them out and there are a few grammatical errors that caught my eye.
Also, your Shifter needs to have met their Catalyst within 2-3 years of being born.
If you can fix up the grammatical errors, space paragraphs and edit your history, then you are in! :)
Its still a bit iffy, but you are new so I'll be nice, Accepted!
Just to let you know, the old man in Pacifidlog is meant to be the guy in the game who tells you when Mirage Island is visible, if you didn't get that. d;
... I think I lost track of whose who halfway through, i'll go back and edit accordingly.
Edit: their, my post is now correct.
Miharu is the one talking to the Espeon
SkyisUmbreon's character is the one with the other Umbreon
Anthony is the one with the Houndoom
And it took me nearly half an hour to get that all sorted out in my post U-_-
Thinking of joining this... trying to find the charries I made the first time. I really like em...
EDIT:
Found em!
Spoiler:
Name:
Rain Chrysalis Tesla
Age:
16
Gender:
Female
Appearance:
Body:
Rain is Caucasian, but as she loves to spend times outdoors she has a deep tan. Rain is somewhat tall, standing at 5'7, and is considerably strong, having traveled on foot for most of her life and spending a large quantity of time running outdoors with her houndoom, Snuff, and adventuring through the woods near her home. Rain's hair is a light brown with natural blonde highlights scattered throughout, basically straight, but with waves and small curls throughout, and falling to about the center of her back. While Rain is rather physically strong, she is not extremely thin-- she does in fact have a flat, muscular stomach, but it is padded with a bit of chub, and bordered by a pair of somewhat impressive love handles. Rain realizes she isn't the skinniest thing in the world, but she loves her legs, as they are long, slim and muscular; she feels they are the best thing about her besides her eyes, which are a beautiful light-blue. Rain's eyes are in fact the most prominent features on her body, thanks to their size and beauty, and are many times the first thing people see when looking at her.
Clothing:
Rain tries her best, but isn't what anyone would call a fashion-savvy person. Her usual get-up is a yellow one-piece dress that cinches around the middle, with jeans shorts beneath. In cooler weather she wears a jeans jacket over her dress, and trades out the jean shorts for skin-colored or white tights. She is always wearing a large pink heart-shaped pendant given to her by her father, which opens to reveal a watch inside. Her headband generally changes color depending on which one she can find for the day, but is always in her hair to hold it back from her face. Rain wears tennis shoes sometimes, but for the most part loves to travel around barefoot, leaving the shoes in nice condition. They are a light blue, with white laces, and Rain typically wears them with white ankle-socks or, in colder weather, tights.
Personality:
Rain is content to be by herself, along with Snuff of course, and while this doesn't mean she cannot work with others, it does mean she would rather do things her way, and in a manner she knows will be successful. Her willingness to be and work on her own has led Rain to be a bit childish, having not properly developed emotionally through interactions with others. Because of this, when Rain gets upset, she can become almost alarmingly so, and it may take a moment for her to calm down. In addition to this, Rain's strong emotions lead her to be extremely driven in whatever she does, being the type of person to drop everything and run off to achieve a goal almost the moment it is conceived.
Despite her indifference to company, Rain feels a deep connection to nature, and loves to help others whenever they need it, especially pokemon. She is very polite, having grown up loving her parents and wanting to please them, especially her father. Rain and Snuff are extremely close, having been together from birth, and many times Rain will call Snuff, "Snuffles" – yet another indication of Rain's somewhat immature tendencies. She loves to daydream, read, and write, all somewhat typical habits of the social introvert, but more than anything Rain loves to sing. Lucky for her, so does Snuff, and it has been said throughout town that Rain and Snuff's singing can affect the emotions of those around them, as many a sad and discouraged worker has been cheered by the sound of Rain's lyrics and Snuff's melody drifting through the windows of the workplace. Making others happy with their singing is something both Rain and Snuff treasure being able to do, and Rain almost never places Snuff in a pokeball unless absolutely needed, since it's rather tough to talk to and sing with someone trapped inside a pokeball.
History:
Rain grew up on the edge of Azalea town, a good ten minute walk into the surrounding woods. Snuff was with her from the moment she was born—a rather adorable accident. The nearby pokemon center had run out of room, and when a clutch of mystery eggs were delivered to the center about a week before Rain's own entrance into the world, they'd been transferred over to the hospital with the hopes they'd be kept under a careful eye. Snuff of course, couldn't stay put after finally hatching, and managed to duck out of his room under the radar of the surrounding nurses. The tiny houndour found himself pulled by the musical sound of a baby's screams, and meandered unseen down the hall, under the feet of passing nurses and doctors, into Rain's delivery room. After almost being stepped on a few times, he'd made his attention known with a long howl, imitating the pitch of Rain's cries exactly. Rain had quieted down and stared at him with her large blue eyes, gurgling a hello, and from that point on the two were inseparable.
Rain and Snuff loved to run through the woods surrounding their home, singing and making friends with all the wild pokemon. Those that didn't want to make friends were easily chased off by Snuff, but most were willing to sit and at least listen to the two. When Rain and Snuff both turned 12, they'd decided to start taking battling seriously, instead of simply just lolling around all the time, reading and eating snacks, and it was then they began to train religiously, running and practicing Snuff's attacks on inanimate targets. The two had trained long and hard before they'd felt ready to face Bugsy, the gym leader of Azalea, not wanting to fail on their first time. Of course, with about two years of training under their belts, as well as type advantage, they'd easily claimed the badge. It was only after this that Rain's father allowed them to journey out, and at age 15, both Rain and Snuff set off for parts unknown.
It was the beginning of their second week when the first visit occurred. Rain was feeling particularly homesick, and with her overactive emotions getting the best of her, she started to sing the saddest song she'd ever composed. Snuff, just as sad to be far from his home, joined in, howling at the moon with an odd, sad tenor. The two had felt something stir within them, and all at once all had fallen away, causing the two to lurch forward and collapse atop each other.
Rain had been startled to find Snuff cursing right along with her, and they'd spent a good amount of time chatting each other up and singing back and forth. The odd thing about it was they never once moved their mouths. When they finally looked around, they found their surroundings glowed with an odd beauty. The land and sky seemed to pulsate with a sort of gray brilliance. Rain could see their fire, but trying to touch it, she passed right though; the same for their sleeping bags and the trees surrounding them.
They decided pretty quickly that it'd been the strength of their emotion that had brought them to this place—they agreed that neither of them had ever put that much feeling into a song. Rain knew she couldn't feel that sad again, not now that she had been able to talk and sing with her soul mate, and so, Rain sang a song of pure joy. The notes tumbled from her mind with a sweet force, and as the pitch rose, Snuff joined to match it with his own deeper tenor. It wasn't something they were used to—singing in their minds. It seemed as though so much more emotion and depth rang through the notes, along with a more raw quality to the sound. They reached a tense crescendo, feeling joy burst forth into their notes, and all at once they were back in their camping spot, the morning light seeping through the surrounding trees, and the sound of their voices all at once coming from their open mouths.
The time spent after this was typical of that of most trainers. While the Aether Realm (Snuff and Rain called it the Walkie-Talkie Zone) was fun for talking and all, it really served no practical purpose the two could find. Whenever they felt the urge to go there, they would think strongly of a certain emotion, and sing with all their might. After the first time, it became easier for them to transfer over, perhaps because they could easily remember the feeling of falling away, and were somewhat eager to attain this level of emotional awareness once again. Each time, the songs of the two became more passionate and demanding, and it was with a certain joy they realized it was not becoming any more difficult for them.
They continued their journey up to Goldenrod, winning against Whitney, and then to Ecruteak, losing the first time against Morty, but winning the second time after a month of training and Snuff's gleeful evolution to a respectable-sized houndoom. Rain decided that the best course of action would be to travel through Violet City and play on the type advantage of Snuff over Falkner's birds. They won easily, and from there headed towards home to recharge. It had been a tough few months of training and fighting, and they were ready to stop and rest for a bit before heading out again.
In the Walkie-Talkie Zone, Rain and Snuff often daydreamed about what exactly the place they were in was all about. Sometimes they would go into towns in the WTZ, and would see shadows of people walking back and forth before the buildings. The buildings were almost see-through, something that played some funny games with the eyes of the two. Sometimes they could see pokemon—usually dull-gray pidgey and ratatta attempting to hide in the semi-invisible trees and bushes—but the creatures never approached them or reacted to their singing, and so Rain and Snuff decided that perhaps this place was the land of souls and the dead-- maybe a sort of limbo? They had all sorts of ideas, but nothing around them ever really answered or confirmed any of their theories, and so they continued to collect thoughts and ideas with no real point.
Rain and Snuff were almost home when they received the message. They were suspicious at first, but the thought of learning more about this mysterious world enticed the two, and with her usual determination, Rain decided to answer the call.

Spoiler:
Rain hadn't wanted a battle. It'd been such a great day so far. Their training was over, the weather was gorgeous, and she'd bought a brand new book yesterday in the last town, which she was more than eager to read.
But this kid really wanted to fight, and Snuff was still all worked up from running. Flames licked at the corners of his mouth, and his tail whipped back and forth in time with his panting. He turned and looked back at her with a pleading look.
"Hooooooun?" he pleaded in a low whine.
"Ugh," Rain grunted back, her face taking on the look of indifference commonly associated with 'please no.' A final pleading look from Snuff and she decided to brighten up—might as well enjoy what she knew was about to happen.
"Alright then," she called, her back straightening, her arm swinging out to acknowledge the trainer across the field, "we accept your challenge! Bring it!"
"Doom!" Snuff added in a deep bass, hopping up. He landed deftly and leaned down to paw at the ground, eager to begin the fight.
"Fine then! But you'll regret it!" the kid shouted back, about as eager as the houndoom to fight. Rain rolled her eyes—it was going to be one of those battles. With a dramatic swing of his arm, the plump child flung his pokeball out with gusto, practically hitting Snuff.
"Let's get him Jenna!" he cried at the ball.
Snuff hopped back from the familiar white glow, and watched from a few feet away as the unidentifiable blob smoothed and evened out into a young female flaffy. She cried out her name with what Rain felt was an honorable level of passion, considering her dramatic trainer's rather theatrical opening. The pink beast brought its foot up with a great amount of pep, swinging the leg out and around before finally bringing it down hard on the dusty ground. The stomp was no doubt an attempt to intimidate Snuff and Rain, but the poof of dust that resulted from the action was so anticlimactic, Rain couldn't help but start giggling.
"Don't listen Jenna-- don't listen to their cruel, cruel laughter!" the boy cried passionately. This only served to make Rain laugh harder, and with a hint of annoyance now creeping into his voice, the trainer called his first attack.
"Jenna! Let's show them! We'll leave you two in shock and awe—Jenna, Thundershock!"
The flaafy flew up, pulling itself in to visibly drag the sparks generating around its body to the center, before thrusting outward towards Snuff. The lighting ran from the stubby pink arms and shot towards the houndoom. Lucky for Snuff, he was not quite as incapacitated as his trainer.
"Sh-sh-shock and awe?!" Rain was laughing uncontrollably now, and unable to deliver any orders; but Snuff was pretty sure of what to do—what creature wouldn't move out of the way of a massive thunderbolt if he could? Snuff jumped up and to the side, leaving a semi-scorched patch of grass in his wake. The lightning bolt hit the ground with a crack, and an aftershock of crackles rippled through the grass before dying off. This was enough to snap Rain back into action, though she was still giggling.
"Snuff," she said, wiping tears from her eyes, "Let's end this quick. That took the last of the energy outta me."
Snuff nodded, obviously not quite as eager as before to be battling. Suddenly the idea of curling up and reading in the Walkie Talkie Zone seemed way more inviting.
"Hit 'em with Smog!"
Snuff took a deep breath, leaning down and pulling up to drag in as much air as possible. His chest puffed up. He whipped forward, running full speed, and began circling the flaafy. All at once he opened his mouth wide, pushing the air from his lungs, continuing to circle the confused pokemon. The escaping air was tinted a dark purple and hung in the air with a hint of toxicity, falling slowly around the flaafy.
"Jenna!" cried the trainer.
From within the cloud came the sounds of coughing, mixed with bleatings and phlegm. Snuff stopped spinning, hopping back to take his previous position, breathing heavy.
"Good one Snuff," Rain praised him, "I think you got that spinning movement down! It completely surrounded her."
She saw Snuff's tail wag—he was ready to end this.
"Snuff, finish it up with Ember!"
The houndoom steadied himself, drew in another great breath of air, and with a push delivered a stream of fire. It lit the Smog settling around the flaafy with an eerie glow, and it shown brightly on the chubby face of the trainer across the field, drawing shadows in a look of devastation—no way could his pokemon come out of that looking good.
And indeed, when the flames died down, his precious Jenna was seen to be laying unconscious, the flames in the grass licking at her curls. The boy ran forward, grabbing his flaafy up.
"Snuff, go help him," Rain said, a note of worry in her voice.
Snuff nodded, trotting over and doing his best to pat out the fire with his paws and tail. The trainer returned his pokemon, a stream of tears beginning to drip down his face. The trainer walked over to Rain, giving her a silent handshake, and wandered off towards town. Rain just watched him go.
Snuff wandered over and placed his head under Rain's hand, willing her to pet him. She looked down at him and smiled, beginning a slow tune of melancholy as she stroked behind his massive horns.
Later on in the Walkie Talkie Zone, she would tell Snuff that she had become scared of their strength. She didn't want to hurt, she wanted to help. Battling nowadays was becoming too dangerous for others, and she didn't want to fight any more trainers that were obviously too weak.
Snuff more than willingly agreed.
Evidentially, I used to have no life whatsoever. XD
