Following trainers not appearing.

Now I'm not the best with essentials yet, but I understand the basics. I read the wiki and tried implementing it, but partner trainers, whilst they appear in battle beside me, do not follow me on the overworld. Is there anything special I need to make it so they do? Keep in mind I have the partner registered and dependant, so it isn't any of those things. Any help is appreciated.

Are you sure you setup apropriately? Did you set a common event for the event? It should be

pbAddDependency2(
@event_id,"EVENT NAME",common event n°)

It can even be a blank common event but you need those to work.

you mean have those in the script or those in the common event?

Well this is what I have and she's still not following me.
This is what happens ingame, by the way. She moves to where I put her at the end of the script but after that she doesn't follow me. But she still participates in battle.
