Forest Grovyle's Latest Works (NEW: 17/10/07 Oekaki Realism Tutorial!)

Life On Mars! Hell, I love that series. I was kind of disappointed he didn't go back to the present, but I guess it means we'll get another season in the summer. That's not too bad.

Sam looks brilliant here - in fact, he actually looks quite hot xDD Great work, FG

Oh... my... Buddha... That is simply amazing, Forest Grovyle. The leather looks so realistic! The only downside to it is the hair. It's too flat/plasticcy. ^^

*Eyes shine brightly at the picture* FG!! This comment is one that you have heard thousands of times...
I SO wish I had your skills oo;
It's all so awesome! It pwns! ^^;
Awesome work, FG, you really have a gift =D
Not one of them cheap one's either. oo;

Charon-Chan, that is frickin' awesome that you're a LoM fan as well!! :D *hugs!* It's great to know that more people watching it are visiting here. And hehe, of course I didn't pick that shot 'cos he looks cute...XD *halo appears above head*

Thanks for all your kind comments guys! ^^ I really appreciate what you had to say! I hope to be drawing some more soon - maybe some of the newly-revealed Pokémon! :)

I sure am! :D I'm from the South East of England. ^_^ The show was awesome - can't wait for the next series! I really recommend it if they ever show a re-run! Glad you like the leather jacket - that's my fave part too! *hugs!*

have you ever recorded you doing oekaki? that would look so god to watch =D

I think the only way I could do that that would come out half-decent would be to draw my oekaki in "animation" mode - though for realism this would probably screw it up as I often have to leave my computer on overnight...

I could draw a small Pokémon picture in animation though, if you'd be interested in seeing that! :)

South West for me :P
If they release it on DVD I'm sooooo buying it

Oh they are, Esupio :D It comes out in October ^_^ With commentary on every episode, outtakes (yay!) and a documentary on the series! Check the BBC site for more details - they have a link to the DVD shop there!

Long wait though...but it should be worth it!

EDIT: not long enough for an art bump, so I'll add it here! :) This is Buizeru in Sugimori style ^^ It's always fun to imagine what the new Pokémon will look like when you see the official art! I chose more muted colours as Sugimori's palette generally appears more muted. :)

That thing is awesome, FG. At this rate, you'll be putting Sugimori out of business in no time. There isn't really anything to criticice here.

NEW POKEMON? *heart attacks* Wow, it sure looks cute. I'll run a google right after I comment... I love your colouring every time, your shading is so soft. Here's a random question; on a normal picture, how many layers do you use?

I'm from the south-east too. Hampshire. Yey.
I hope they replaceLoM with another decent drama, though, the BBC needs to keep up its standards!

Oh dear - I wouldn't want to put Sugimori out of business! Hehe! *giggles* Though if they offered me his spot I'd take it, lol! I'm nowhere near as good as him but I do love his style!

Charon-chan, I'm in Hampshire too! (term-time anyway! ^^) When I'm not at uni I'm in Kent. :) Just check PPN for the new Pokémon, they're on the front page there! ;)
Oh! And as for layers, I use three for these pics :) One for the rough sketch, one for colour, and one for the lineart!

Thanks for your comments everyone! *hugs!*

Did you just say you're nowhere near as good as Sugimori? O_O
I'd say you're either as good as him or very close. Your art looks professional and could easily be mistaken for Sugimori art, so there, hah! :P
*Wishes he could make good art* One thing atleast is for sure, you're much better than most tcg illustrators _^^

Oh gosh! *blush* ^^;; Well shucks! That's so kind of you!!

Thank you for all your comments, guys! :D You really are awesome! Here's another pic for you! ;) Cowrie suggested that I try drawing Perappu, so here he is! Hope you enjoy!
