Formatting the Recovery Drive?...

    Well, on my computer that has a recovery drive. Since I back up often on flash drives by compressing data, do you think it would be okay to format my recovery drive? It's the D Drive, and it's called HP_RECOVERY (D:) if that helps.
     
    do you have the install (drivers and stuff) and full OS disks? if you do, you CAN delete it if you don't mind wiping your data and programs should you need to do an OS reinstall.

    no disks? don't do it.
     
    The recovery partition isn't made to save your files. It's more or less a built-in recovery CD. Honestly, it doesn't take up much room, so I'd recommend leaving it on there. If you're running out of space, get an external hard drive or delete some stuff; don't wipe your recovery partition.
