    What's the point about them ??
    I mean, is it unlocking something to catch them all or is it as worthless as in Diamond/Pearl ??

    It's as worthless as in D/P. They're just there as something mysterious, and to make an extra scene in the GSC manga. At least in GSC you can say "Hey, look! I'm such a Pokéfreak I caught all the Unowns!" with the Unowndex but now, I highly doubt there's a point. I mean, it's not like they're powerful. All they know is Hidden Power, which is pretty pathetic alone.
     
    Dude, don't ever underestimate hidden power! It is, without a doubt, the most versatile move in the whole game. Say your opponent has a whole team of unown. You will never know which hidden power he'll dish out next, and, provided that they are the same letter, you won't remember which is which.

    I'm just kidding, its a freaking useless pokemon. There really was no need for Unown.
     
    Unown doesn't even work well against in-game AI, which is kinda sad. I mean, the ability to use just one, and only one, attack (that isn't transform) won't cut it at all. However, getting one to level 100 would be quite a feat.

    Anyway, as far as I know, the Unowns have no actual purpose outside of collection value. Maybe they would have been worth something had Nintendo released a G/S/C remake on the GBA...
     
    Unknown just live up to their name "unknown" lol.......they're just something that no onew knows what they are for...makes scence to me...

    Any ways, they really don't make sense to me.
    Erect a statue outside? What the H, E, double hockey sticks is that suppose to mean?

    Oh wait, I don't diss them in any way... I'm just telling that, as I already catch them in Diamond/Pearl... There's no need for me to catch them a third time for FireRed...

    I'll just catch my legendaries and start breeding for my competitive battling team :P
