    In order to get the PokeFlute you must make your way to Lavender (Use the path on the right of Cerulean) and make your way to the top of the tower.Then MR.Fuji will give you the PokeFlute,you then go south from Lavender and awaken Snorlax.When you awaken it you will be put into a battle with it.If you want to catch one then do it at that point because you don't get another chance in the game.

    No, there are 2 snorlaxs both lv.30 1 male 1 female. One is at the top of cycling lane and the other is south of lavender.
     
    Also, while it probably doesn't matter much (At least to me since I collect) use the itemfinder where both Snorlax are to get LeftOvers. I threw them on my weaker Pokemon and just wish I could get more.

    Oh totally, definitely one of my favourite items to hold. At first I thought the +10% to move items were good, but I got over them.

    Like someone else said, get the pokeflute and awaken it. Make sure you save the game before you battle though...if you defeat them they're gone, and you -do- want to capture atleast one...if not both so you can breed them if you ever get D/P.
