3rd Gen Fr vs Lg?

ok im going to be getting one of these on Friday but im not sure which one. im wondering what the major differance between these two (im meaning what pokemon only appear in which) also is there still the berries and butey contests like in Ruby/Saphire?

they are both the same but with different pokemon in each.they dont have beautey contests but they do have berries.
