From Cherny, With Love

Greetings, all!

I'm not very good with introductions, so I'll just start with how I got here...

To be honest, I'm not really sure why I wasn't already a part of PokeCommunity. Naturally, I love Pokemon, but I guess it's never really been a social experience for me. Where I've grown up I've been lucky to find even one or two friends who play Pokemon (though as I'm now in High School, I've found more), so more or less, it's just something I enjoy solitarily. That being said, that very same one friend has been playing a hack of FireRed lately, in particular one posted by a user named Sllew in which the player can join Team Rocket, and as he directed me to the download link, I found that I couldn't download the hack without joining PokeCommunity.

"No problem," I thought. I love Pokemon, everyone here loves Pokemon, I get in, get the hack, get out, no one even notices.

As I'm writing this starter, though, what originally was just a means to an end is starting to seem more like an experience in itself. Like I said before, Pokemon's never quite been a social experience for me, and I'm becoming more excited to be a part of the community by the minute.

Anywho, since that will probably suffice for a "Hello, this is why I'm here", I guess I'll start formally introducing myself!

My (user)name is Chernobog, and if anyone thinks to ask: there is an evil god named Chernabog who features in both Fantasia and Kingdom Hearts games, hence my name.

Yeah, it seems like there are quite a handful of people around who don't know many Pokefans outside of the internet, which is sad. D: I've always been pretty lucky in that regard since many of my irl friends are into it. A big welcome to you, Chernobog!

And oh, don't think I've ever heard of that hack before. Odd because I used to be really into hacks, and one where you can join Team Rocket wouldn't have ever escaped me. Better do some searching! That's actually the reason I joined PC in 2006; wanted to play a hack and couldn't download it without joining. So here I am! This place is indeed pretty addicting so it's pretty common for members to want to stay after getting what they wanted.. at least I think it is, ehe. I've seen a lot of newbies get hooked in the year and a half that I've been here, and many of them are still here now. ^^

You seem like someone who will fit in pretty well here. I mean, you love Pokemon, creativity of all sorts, conversation... there'll be lots to do here going by what you've written. Can share your art/music/writing, discuss Pokemon, talk about other video games like Fire Emblem (on that note, is Fire Emblem: Awakening worth the money? I want it so bad!), and plenty of other things~! Would be a pleasure if you became an active member here. Can already sense you have potential (you know, because I'm magic and all, haha).
