From my Group: Will the Nintendo DSi be Nintendo's host for the 5th Gen?

This idea campe upon me, I mean...

Finding Monsters DSi appeared in front of me on the Nintendo Channel on my Wii.. And I began being worried.

Chances of possibility:

1- Two exculsive games have been released to the DSi.

Why it won't be possible:

1- We are still in the 7th Gaming Era.

Well, the point of using the DSi camera will clearly allow us to walk.

It would be nice if we can command our PoKéMoN using the microphone....

But it would be better to advance too...

What do you think....

I don't think it will be really, The DSlite/DSi is no different than the GBASP was with the advance really, imo. Nintendo has a habit of releasing a new hand held every 2 or so years, so I'm sure when "Next Gen" comes up again, nintendo will be right there, wanting you to buy their next handheld.

Nah, I'd say that at this point, DSi is more comparable to GB color...That is, if they actually release any DSi exclusive games.

But other then that though, I'm pretty sure the main issue with the DSi is that when the next generation main console (whatever comes after the Wii) comes out, there might be some compatibility difficulties (in before Gen I and II sharing the N64, that was an exception!), and seeing how late things are down the console lifetime, I'd expect them to wait until the next hand-held comes out.
