*sighs* I didn't really like that part, either...poor poor Kyo. Maybe one day something in his life goes right...
 
NYAHAHA! YOU CANNOT RESIST THE TEMPTATION! XD I read Volume 11 and some of 12, and I'm still going to buy all of them. XD Those are fan-translated anyway, so it'll be fun looking at the differences between those and the official ones. ^^
As far as we all know, anything can happen. >D
I forgot to mention earlier, but I also love anything to do with the Mabudachi Trio. ^_^ I am so obsessed with the three of them. XD
Also, something that's been bugging me, I can't figure out how to pronounce Shigure's name. My friend thinks it's "Shee-gir", but the 'e' isn't silent in Japanese words, is it? O_o So it would be "Shee-gir-?", right? And I used to pronounce it "Shee-guire", but I know that's not right. XD

boredom...ok i gots an idea, how bout on the first page, on the first post, put the ppls claimed ppl! like I know there would be a cat fite over kyo, so Ill stay safe, and glomp gure-san! ^^

Heh, good idea, but I think we should keep that in the Bishie Thread, personally. You know how scary fangirls can get sometimes. O_o
 
Tee hee! This kind of doesn't really have anything to do with the thread and it's completely off topic but... oh well!
Today at school we had our first 'Life Skills' class in which for some odd reason, since we're seniors, we played Fruit Basket!!!!!! Tee hee! I couldn't stop laughing when our teacher suggested it! And then I asked if I could be the rice ball and everyone just stared blankly at me! In the end I ended up being an orange :( But then I remember Kyo's hair was orange so that made me happier! Anyways, I just thought it was funny that we played that game in school today cuz before actually watching Fruits Basket I didn't even know it existed!
Anyways, since this was like completely off topic I'm going to shut up now!
Oh yes and if we are "claiming" characters, Hatsuharu is MINE!!!!

I got Volume 4 and 5 today~ X3 [I now own the first five volumes]. 4 is definitely my favourite so far... and, like in the Author's Musings thing, how it was mentioned fans wrote to the artist that they thought Kyo was going to kiss Tohru when he found her asleep on the porch... I would have thought that too. It was an uber kawaii scene. <3
 
I know! I so thought Kyo was going to kiss her. They make a cute couple yes?

If you read further on and stuff it says that Yuki only sees Tohru like a mother and nothing else.
 
Yesh.. Kyou and Tohru will definitely make a super cute couple....
 
i hated how the ended the anime, they make it so u have to buy the manga to get the second half of the story. Anyone know why they stopped making the anime when they did?

I know the manga was only up to 8 volumes when the anime was made, so they took portions of volumes 7 and 8 (namely Hiro and Ritsu's appearances), threw in the Kyo part from volume 6, and then made up that part with Akito at the end. They probably ended it then because they had some kind of contact or something, I dunno. A lot of people really want a season 2 though.

EDIT: MysticTrunks, I can tell you what happens in the last episode.

SPOILERS BELOW

Still in his true form, Kyo has several flashbacks about the past. We learn that his mother claimed to love him more than anything, but still kept him away from everyone else. Kyo says that his mother never really accepted him; she was just saying the things she thought a mother was supposed to say. In the end it was too much for her and she commited suicide. Tohru finds Kyo. Kyo is about to run away, but Yuki grabs him and holds him down. Tohru tells Kyo that she is afraid of his true form, but even so she wants them to be together. It stops raining, and Kyo changes back into his human self. He starts crying and tells Tohru that that's all he ever really wanted too. Kyo gives Tohru a hug and turns into a cat. Tohru carries Kyo back home in her arms. Later that day, Kyo's master (Kazuma) is about to leave town. After a brief fight, Kyou tells Kazuma that someday he's going to be the kind of guy that his master can tell the world, "I'm his dad!"

The next day, Tohru asks if she can go see Akito. Shigure tells Tohru that Akito only has a short time left to live because he bears the core of the zodiac curse. Even so, Shigure, Yuki, Tohru, and Hatori all go to see Akito at the main house. Akito asks Tohru why she came to see him, and she says she doesn't know. Akito all of a sudden gets really PO'ed and grabs Tohru by the hair. Yuki and Shigure hold Akito back so he won't hurt Tohru. Hatori just sits there in shock. Akito tries to get AHtori to erase Tohru's memory, but Hatori refuses. Annoyed, Akito yells at Tohru about how he wants her to suffer as the Sohmas do until she starts crying. Tohru tells Akito that she has no idea what the Sohma curse is, but even so she's happy that she knows the Sohmas and doens't regret meeting any of them. Akito lets go of Tohru's hair and walks away.

Outside, Kyo asks Yuki what happened in there. Tohru says nothing really big happened, and they all start walking home. Tohru says she'll make everyone dinner when they get there.

THE END.

(That took forever, but I'm bored XD)
