Fruits Basket

Uwah! Finally, something I can go on and on about.

Well, not really because I have to get off soon...

Anyway, I like both the anime (have all on DVD! *grins*) and have all the manga (up to number eleven, waiting for twelve). Yes, I know you can read them online, but its more fun to buy the manga. Anyway, isn't quite obvious who I like? Okay, maybe not really. But, yes, I LOVE KYO-KUN! My sister likes Yuki, but he's just...eh. I'm just in love with Kyo, and my friends know it. Maybe becuase everytime they're over or talking to me online, I always go on about Fruits Basket and Kyo. Besides, my friends who read the manga and/or watch the anime say I'm exactly like him... O_o

But I think Ayame is cool. I don't LOVE him like I do for Kyo, but I can relate to him. I am an older sister, and...well, I bother her. Kisa and Hiro are next.

I actually like all three of the Mabudachi guys quite a bit. Ayame's my second favorite simply because he's so amusing. As much as I like angst, I also enjoy people who act completely out there as well :P Shigure... I like how he usually has some sort of secret motive (i.e. going to the lake, visiting Tohru's High School, there's probably more incidents)

Nyeh, I may as well do everyone else too since I'm bored. Lol.

Kyo - Somehow, someway, I feel connected to him. As I said before, I cried during the last two episodes. I feel like I can relate to him in a way. I suppose that's how Takaya wanted viewers to feel, though. He's not my favorite character, but I do like him quite a bit (if that even made sense oO

Yuki - I really don't have much so say about him. He's kind of so-so to me.

Tohru - The fact that she can talk anyone through their worries and angst with 5 minute speeches is pretty unrealistic, and it's repetetive in the anime. However it's very moving that despite all the tragedy in her life, she's still able to keep smiling. That's the one thing I like about her.

Momiji - He's a cute character with a moving story. That's really all I have to say, haha.

Kisa - Also a cute character, and one of my favorites. I've been picked on in class too, so I know how hard it can be. She's also adorable with Hiro :3

Hiro - He's my zodiac animal (the sheep/ram/goat). He comes off as kind of a brat, but I guess we're alike in a few ways.

Ritsu - He seems like a filler character in the anime, but I think he may soon start to serve a greater purpose in the manga if he hasn't already.

Haru - He's better in the manga. It's amusing to see him with a thought bubble saying "I'm hungry" at strange moments, he tends to wander around aimlessly, and when the group finds him he's usually doing something odd. Then he goes black and starts fighting with Kyo. He's just an unusual but funny character.

Akito - (Yes, I know Akito's "spoiler" just so everyone knows.) He's a good villain for the story. I kinda feel bad for him, too. That's about it.

The last two Sohmas are Rin (the horse) and Kureno (the rooster). There are lots of spoilers regarding those two, but I really don't want to type any more big post thingies up right now @.@

While typing this, a question came to mind... how do you prefer to spell the Sohma family's last name? I've seen many versions, but it seems Sohma and Souma are the most popular. I personally think 'Sohma' looks better, so I spell it like that. lol.

I like spelling it as Sohma, the h is much more appealing to me then the u. Rin is scary lol!! XD some of the things she does... Ritsu just flat out amuses me! I feel bad for him but he is funny. Shigure has the best technic for haulting his screaming too lol! *POKE*
 
I mooch this manga off my friends. Lol, I've got two of them who collect it, so I never really have to worry. Only problem, they both only buy manga at cons now, I think, so I'm stuck waiting months in between. XD Oh well.

I really like the manga so far! I believe I've read up to... volume 8? The premise is really nice and although it took a little bit of getting used to, the art is really cute. ^^; Tohru is interesting. Normally the characters like her make my skin crawl, but she pulls off her personality so well. o_O She doesn't often get on my nerves. Haru is just... uber cool. X3 Lol, I love how he becomes the cow. XD; Most of the other characters are just... blah with me. (Momiji kind of annoys me, I hate to say. ;_; He's cute but just...annoyingly so, sometimes.)

I've only seen about 4 episodes of the anime. @_@

The pants Kyo always wears in the manga are awesome. You know, the bag pants with that... bit of material that hangs down connecting the two pant legs? xD I doubt anyone knows what I'm talking about, but they're awesome. I want!
 
OOOO! A fellow Kyo bondage pant lover! XD I love um too they are great!^_^ I am goin to a con as Kyo with my friends next year. They want to dye my hair orange T_T
 
I've only read Volume 1, I mean to harrass the staff at the shop that sells it to order more in.

Yeah, normally people like Tohru - you know, so sweet it's cloyingly so - bug me, but she doesn't bug me at all. She's my role-model. :x XD

Kyoru is Tohru x Kyo, right? o.o If so, I support it too. :x
 
I love fruits basket!!!! i don't have any fav's but i mostly like Hatori and Kyo...Sahigure is funny too..not too long ago i started reading the manga..i borrowed it from a friend
then i got obsessed and started oredering them from nearly all the book stores that sell
tokyopop......my mama thinks I'm crazy cause all i spend my money on right now is the dvd's and manga.*still waits for volume 11 manga*?.? stupid book stores HURRY AND GIMME MY MANGA!!!...anyway i only have one of the dvd's *cries* it's the first one...it's all i could get..i went in for the 2nd one ?.? stupid poeple that buy Fruits basket dvd's..snif snif.....i need it!! weel anyway!! fruits basket rocks!!
 
Kyoru is Kyo-Tohru, yeah. Yuki-Tohru is Yukiru.

Kyo's pants are awesome. I'd really like to get a bracelet that looks like his though. Someone told me that Claire's had one, but apparently they don't anymore T-T

I think Tokyopop is up to around volume 11 or 12, and It's up to like 17 or something in Japan. I haven't been following FB as obsessively as I used to... I've been more obsessed with DNA lately XD.

Liking them because thy are popular isn't the best reason... However...to each her own as they say! n_n

I do NOT like the fact that the series has ended and they do not show the anime on TV (where I live, anyway). Seeing how popular the manga are these days, they should begin showing them again, and perhaps.... new episodes.

I did not liked how it ended!I wanted to know if she stays with Kyo or Yuki!

The last time I checked #8 had just came out!

Yes! And you know what I think.

Akito's bet with Kyo might be one BY Kyo. It didn't mention anything with fighting, just BEATING. Perhaps, if Kyo wins Tohru's heart over Yuki's, that would be considered beating Yuki... Just a thought.
