    When our land will be in danger, a priestess from another world will come. She will gather the seven celestial warriors of the Guardian God, who will bestow upon her the power to grand wishes and althus shall save our world.

    Please open the book "The Universe of the Four Gods" and enter a world of wonders and danger.
    A world of legends, where Suzaku, Byakko, Seiryuu and Genbu each guard one part of the earth.
    Please enter the world of Fushigi Yuugi -The Mysterious Play-, by Yuu Watase.

    The original Story of Fushigi Yuugi dates from the early 90ties, but I thought there might be some fans around. Surely now that the prequel, Genbu Kaiden, is already over chapter 30. So if you consider yourself a fan or want to learn more, don't hesitate to join. If you join, please state to wich God you want to belong. ^_^

    Really? Well, I prefer Genbu Kaiden because of Rimudo/Uruki. XD

    ^according to that, Rimudo and Tama would never get along because Rimudo is a Cat person and Tama a dog person. XD

    And that's not the only reason of course. Genbu Kaiden is in my point of view much more mature than Fushigi Yuugi. But you gotta keep in mind that my judgement is based on the Anime of Fushigi Yuugi. Since I have not yet read the manga of Fushiyu.
    The relationship between Uruki and Takiko goes a lot deeper than the -tamahome, -Miaka, Tamahome, Miaka"-stuff. Although Fushigi Yuugi had it's deep romance moments... Genbu Kaiden goes deeper than that... Also, Takiko seems to me much more believable as a person than Miaka.
     
    It's been a while since I've seen the series, but I remember the time when I was fairly obsessed about it. And thus, I shall join. Huzzah.

    I have yet to start reading Genbu Kaiden, but I will start soon. Hopefully .___."

    A couple of my friends have told me to read it. I was simply too lazy to follow their advice.

    Oh, I think at one point someone lent me their volume one of the Genbu Kaiden. I simply forgot what happened, eheh.
     
    I read it again these days.... Its just great. I shall read genbu kaiden again. hey theres another suzaku. we are the bird yaaaay.
     
    If you read the Genbu Kaiden Manga, I shall read the Fushigi Yuugi manga. 83 I might start on it later today. 83

    Here's one of Yuu Watase's most recent drawings of Miaka and Tamahome. If you compare it to those that were made 10 years ago, her style has quite changed, no? I like this drawing though. =D
    It's apparently a cover of book where Yuu Watase teaches/tells in manga form how one can draw manga and become a Manga-ka. I want it. >:

    Question: Who is your favourite Celestial Warrior?
     
    I really like chichiri and tamahome. they are really great and chichiri always makes me smile xD

    Chichiri is indeed one of the most funny warriors there is, along with Tasuki, he's probably the moodmaker of the Suzaku team.
    As for the Genbu team, they're pretty serious... but with Watase's help, she gives a funny twist to all of them. Certainly Tomite and Uruki. XD


    As for, Kiryuu, don't worry about that. You are always welcome to join. Any god you want to be listed under?

    Found out what it was about.. eight years ago, and it's still one of my favorite series.
    I like the Genbu Kaiden series, as well. ^^
