Future Legendary Pokemon based on Norse mythology

    Always liked Norse mythology, but the Thor movie (of course!) really got me going on this one...

    It's quite likely that, in the future, the main legendary mascot trio will be based on Loki and Thor (for the paired versions) and Odin (the trio master, for the third version). What spin do you think Game Freak would put on this? Personally, I'd like to see them reimagined as a trio of ancient robots/golems with an Ice/Dark type Loki (or Ice/Ghost for balance purposes), an Electric/Fighting type Thor and a Steel/Psychic type Odin.

    Similarly, the "lesser" legendary trio in the same generation could be based on some of the Norse mythical animals, such as the Midgard serpent (Dragon/Poison), Fenris wolf (Dark) and Sleipnir (pure Flying?)

    Anyone else want to see these ideas come into play?

    However - I'm going out on a limb here, but it looks like we could already have a legendary trio that I speculate could be based on Loki, Thor and Odin respectively...

    I was thinking that the "Norse" trio could be more like ancient robots rather than "Regi-like" golems (i.e., they'd resemble primitive mecha rather than animated clumps of rock/ice/steel, and be much more humanoid). My idea was to have the Norse gods as giant robot Pokemon; futuristic mecha as legendaries would be a very cool idea, but doesn't really fit with the idea of Norse gods. Hence, my "ancient robotic golem" idea - similar to a cross between Golett/Golurk and the live-action Transformers (especially in their pre-Earth modes, seeing as they themselves are ancient robots).

    If we did have Norse gods as legendary mascots, their backstory would probably be directly derived from the original myths, and tie into the game's plot. Yeah, since they'd be ancient Pokemon, your idea of them having to be "awakened" sounds good, especially since that's been a "tradition" seeing as Groudon/Kyogre, Reshiram/Zekrom, etc. also had to be awakened.
     
    Norse? Personally, I'd like to see Egyptian gods become Legendary Pokemon

    The Hathor and Sekhmet Pokemon could roaming version exclusives.
     
    A legendary roaming psychic cow really would be something haha, would sure make Milktank look stupid.
     
    I'm pretty sure they'd make the "odin" legendary some sort of magical all knowing one eyed, possibly bearded, raven if they wanted to make a Norse trio.
