    Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum...
    What does Nintendo have in store for us next? They've almost named every color of the rainbow!
    Post what version names you think The pkmn co. will have for us in the future, kuz I think there may be no more possibillities! I also hope this is the right section of the forum to post this thread.

    This page and this page come to mind. They could revert back to colors, though the color versions happened during the "GameBoy Color." So, that change could be... er, different. I don't think they'd go back there anyway. There are countless possibilities... Platinum was an element, so they could easily take the elements route for future games, even more possible game names there. I'd expect them to go down that road.

    There's so many options that... well, it'd be hard to predict really.

    They won't go naming versions after Team Galactic's Commander trio. ._.; D/P/P involves the galaxies and space, so I severely doubt future versions will follow that path.

    So, yeah, as I said in my previous statement, I believe they'll take the element route with future versions. But, hey, maybe they take a completely different route we haven't thought of.
     
    Oh i know the 3 versions of gen 5 will be :
    darmastadtium
    Gadolinium
    mendelevium
    I mean its obvious no!*sarcasm*
    Really now we dont know so just wait and see.
     
    theres alot of metals out there but i think they might start to use rocks
     
    Carbon Dioxide version :P I doubt it though lol.

    Hmm... I really can't see where they could go after this. I'm pretty sure they will leave the Gem Stones and such things. No, in my opinion they will be going for more abstract thoughts. However, I can't think of one's that don't sound silly:

    Darkness and Light? -no
    Water and Fire? -no
    Apple and Orange -You know I had to place a joke in here somewhere. ;D

    The truth is, I have no idea where Game Freak will go with this. I suppose we will just have to see.
    (Mac version or Windows version? xDD)
     
    This would be a difficult problem for the pokemon company. They've already went through the primary colors and they went to the precious metals, then the most precious gems. Unless they do something massive like planets it would be hard. Although they most likely won't do planets because of team galactics admins
