2nd Gen G/S/C monotype challenge

I think imma use Fire type Pokemon! We can Do it!!!
 
I finally beat Whitney and arrived in Ecruteak City. Whitney was really tough because of her Miltank, but Grounder hung on with the last of his HP and defeated him with Double Kick. Now Im looking for a Moon Stone to evolve Grounder and waiting till it gets dark to catch a Gastly at the Burned Tower.

Any of you guys remember where to get a Moon Stone in Silver near Ecruteak?
 
When you get surf you can get one in the cave between Johto and Kanto. You get Surf when you beat the Eevee Komino Sisters.

Ok tnx a lot man. Now imma beat the Kimono Girls and get Surf. Then ill go back to New Bark and Ill get it.

EDIT: Got the moon stone, evolved Grounder, caught Tentacruel (Stinger), taughtn him Surf and taught grounder Strength, saved at Cianwood so to beat Chuck and to get the meds for Jasmine and Amphy

Make sure you have the badge that lets you surf. I forget which one it is.

Eevee evolved with about 10 minutes before it turned to night. Thank god otherwise I'd have had to have waited until tomorrow.
 
The badge that enables Surf is the Ecruteak Gym Badge.

I made easy work of Morty and Jasmine. Chuck was a bit hard, but not strong enough to beat my team. Now I kicked the Rockets out of Mahogany and Im about to challenge Pryce.

Who should I teach Sludge bomb to, Tentacruel or Golbat?

Golbat doesn't learn any poison moves, so I suggest him. Besides as Poison/Flying it really needs to make the most of it's type.

Tentacruel on the other hand is Water/Poison, so can be useful for other types. Ideally Tentacruel could know Surf, Blizzard, Acid and Barrier.

Who will be your sixth party member? And who do you plan to teach Toxic to?

Okay I'm training to face the Elite Four right now, but my squad is so understrengthed and I have little money to buy Full Restores and Revives. Here it is right now:

wooooo, i beat the elite four! it was actually kind of sad. i only had to use 1 ether because everything was a one or two hit kill. and then lance was a jerk with his blizzards and thunders and rock slides. but it was ok, only had to use 11 revives and 15 hyper potions

Interesting. I'm worried about facing Karen's Houndoom. I need Slowpoke to take command immediately, but he's so slow.
 
The 6th party member is Casper (Haunter), which I caught last night. I trained it at Pryce's Gym (God bless Exp Share) and in some grassy areas. It eventually evolved (it was a Gastly). I beat Pryce with ease, although he KOd two of my pokemon. But now Im about to save Goldenrod from Team Rocket. Then Im going to grind till Dracula is happy enough to evolve and till my party is around lv 35 more or less.

Ill post my team after the Rockets are gone once and for all and Im the hero =D

Im training my team to level 35-40 so to beat Clair more easily. Also, I need some TMs to teach to Casper, as his specialty is SP ATTACK and SPEED, and I dont have TMs with moves like Thunderbolt, Psychic, Giga Drain and so on. If he could learn the Punches (Ice Punch, Thunderpunch or Fire Punch) this would be a different story.

Anyway Dracula evolved while rescuing the Director in the Underground Warehouse, and he's ready to be taught Sludge Bomb!

there's some grass on route 45, so you could probably find one there in the morning. but in crystal you can find one on route 46 really early in the game
 
This looks like a ton of fun. :D

Tony Montana's making poison sound like a ton of fun so I think I'm going to try that out. Either that or Fire... Normal could be fun too... Maybe even Bug... Or perhaps Water. Actually, I need to think. I'll update later when I start. I'll be using my Gold Version for this.

UPDATE

I beat Falkner, he was actually pretty hard. I put in Onix to take all the hits, all 10 of those mud slaps (with potions, of course) and put in geodude, FINALLY beating Falner. I decided to skip the bellsprout tower for now, rock/ground pokemon vs a grass type isnt a good match, idc what you say lol.

I also saved the slowpoke, and beat Bugsy fairly easily. (rock throw owns)

Btw: currently training for my Rival, Silver. I should of chosen a different starter lol. (he has a bayleef, ffs)

lol I tried beating him, trained all up to lvl 18, bayleef OHKO'd me all of em, so I need a phanpy to potentially survive

EDIT again: FINALLY beat Silver. Trained Geodude to 23, Wooper (now quagsire) to 22, and onix to 20. I taught quagsire mud slap, mud slapped the crap out of bayleef (like 5 times, lol) came in with geodude and used selfdestruct because razor leaf missed, then onix finished off zubat with a rock throw, after about 7 battles lol.

ANOTHER update: Got through Ilex Forest, went on to Whitney and beat her pretty easily, just used selfdestruct on miltank, didn't feel like dealing with milk drink <_< I'll update after someone posts w/ my team and stuff, :P
