6th Gen Gamblin' all my money away in Mauville City...

Why would gambling in a game be bad? What, wasting money you worked for? -.- It's in a game and its literally infinite amount of it too. Unless there is a limit to how much money you can get. (if there was no holding limit). Also the Game Corner was the frosting upon the cake of Pokémon so why take it out? It's like someone was uninterested with the frosting and was like "I'ma go home unless you take that off"

There was actually a reason in real life behind the removal of the Game Corner. A few years back Europe had anti-gambling laws legislated and it caused the European versions of Platinum to be unable to play the slot machines and the Voltorb Flip being in place of the slot machines in the non-Japanese versions of HeartGold & SoulSilver. Then in 5th Gen, the Game Corner was dropped from the series entirely as a result of this.

I was kinda happy behind the removal of the Game Corner, having kids exposed to that would have caused them to have gambling addictions in real life. I would have imagined Game Freak getting negative attention if loads of issues like this arose.

I don't agree with saying that having kids exposed to gambling would cause them to develop addictions later in life but I will say they could. I generally won't nitpick words like that but it really does make a world of difference.

I will also say I disagree in general as well. Gambling addictions in real-life rely largely on the promise of a big pay off for winning. Even if it's a game of pure chance meaning you're never 'due' for a win. In the Pokemon games the gambling never has a big enough payoff. The highest it seems you can get is 300 coins. But even then that rarely enables the player to get anything. You can get Abra, but I'm not sure I'd call that a big prize since it's low-level and available in the wild in the games you can get it in.

However, for that that exact reason I would rather see an arcade replace the Game Corner. Games of chance aren't that fun if there's no pay-off for doing them. If you could attempt to cheat that might add to the excitement of the games. It would also make the games more engaging since you have some control on the outcome. But in general, more mini-games means more reasons to invest in playing.
I actually like the suggestion one YouTuber made about putting the WiFi games from generation four into ORAS since Nintendo will be ending WiFi services soon.
