    Does anyone out there actually do the slots and cards to get coins or do you just buy coins at the counter and then get your prize?

    I just buy the coins and then get my prize because it takes WAY too long the other way and besides it is all really based on luck.
     
    I just play the games.

    It doesn't waste money and I'm really good at the games.
    (Got three Porygons on my firered.)
     
    It depends. When I'm feeling lazy, I just buy the coins, but when I'm really bored, I play about 20 round of slots (and lose about 60 coins xP)
     
    I always buy the coins. I've never once gotten the jackpot. Although I did like the roulette in R/S.
     
    I used to buy coins, until my Pokémoney began to decrease. Now, I rarely play or visit any of the Game Corners in any game.
     
    The rare times I go I usually just buy coins for prizes, but if I'm bored I'll go and play whatever is there at the Game Corner just for fun.
     
    I just buy coins if I need something, but sometimes I feel guilty so I end up playing the games and lose most or all of my coins. ._.
     
    I never play the slots.
    Yeah you could get a jackpot or whatever, but by the time you actually get a 7-7-7, you already spent like 300 coins.

    I buy it unless there's cards. I'm decent at those.
     
    I just buy coins usually, though I have been good at slots when I've tried it.
     
    I do both. It depends really.
    If I'm low on money, I just play the slots.
    When I have some money, I just buy coins.
     
    I do the games. Not doing the slots would suck the fun out of it, and it costs less money. Plus, I'm pretty good.
     
    I do both. I enjoy playing the slots, and it kills time. Like, a lot of it. 8D Sometimes I just don't feel like doing the work, though, and just buy the coins instead.

    Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum's Game Corner is probably the only Game Corner I actually play in because of the Clefairy Bonus Round. I end up racking a lot of coins more often than I lose them thanks to that Bonus Round.

    Every other Pokemon game, I simply buy my coins.
     
    Like most people, I generally just buy the coins. I'll play the games for fun sometimes but I never really gain any coins from it (usually I'll either lose coins or break even), so I would never rely on it to get me enough coins for the prizes.
