4th Gen Game ends when i beat Lance

Hey, i've been playing the game (HG)for a while using the Dessume emulator (no$gba doesnt work on my computer dont know why tried all versions) and after i beat Lance in the pokemon league and he takes me to the hall of fame and what not, it shows the credits etc, then writes "THE END" and wont let me continue the game it just goes to the start, i would like to go on and move to kanto region etc but it wont let me continute afterwards, i think it has something to do with the game saving mechanism on dessume, since the emulator saves games using "states" and not the internal save game funcion, it cant save the game after i win and continue to kanto,
if anyone has any idea how i can go on to johto etc it would be great, thanks

Hmmm... I remember this posed problems for me when playing FireRed on Visual Boy Advance...

Can you change the save type at all?

If not, try going for no$gba and porting over the save state. I know that you can change the save option on that and there's an AP patch for the game as well.

he just said no$gba didn't work on his computer. But yeah try changing the save type if that doesn't work try iDeaS, or any other emulator that works. if that doesn't work ur probably screwed.

Ok i actually got the game to run on NO$GBA but i couldn't find a WORKING way to convert the save from Desmume to NO$GBA i found some online converter (SHUNY or something) but none of my many attempts worked, is there a way to make a Desmume save into a working NO$GBA save ?
