Greetings all anime/manga fans and video game fans! I am new to the Poke Community webpage and this is my very post as of now. I've recently started playing my GBC Pokemon Gold version once more in order to show my prowess in Pokemon Stadium 2 on the N64. If you guys wish... I would like to hear from other people's preceptive/ideas of a good pokemon. ... Behold... FEAST YOUR EYES ON THESE POKEMON!!!! LOL
- Aerodactyl = LV: 48 (Items: None) Swagger, Ancient Power, Reflect, Earthquake
- Typhlosion = LV: 50 (Items: Magnet) Earthquake, Thunder Punch, Fire Blast, Hyper Beam
- Blastoise = LV: 49 (Items: King's Rock) Bite, Surf, Blizzard, Dig
- Alakazam = LV: 51 (Items: None) Psychic, Fire Punch, Ice Punch, Recover
- Raichu = LV: 51 (Items: Focus Band) Thunder, Raindance, Reversal, Endure
- Scizor = LV: 50 (Items: Quick Claw) Steel Wing, Fury Cutter, Double Team, Swords Dance
That's my Pokemon team for now... I think these Pokemon will atleast cause a lot havoc for my opponent... BUT!
I need to explain my strategy to ya'll first and then you guys can get a better understanding of how my mind functions in Pokemon battles! So let's go!
Welcome to the narration of my experiments and training sessions.
Aerodactyl's strategy is simple...yet a slightly complicated. I always cast reflect first to give my Pokemon some defense against physical attacks. Then I cast swagger... and I can do it as many times as I want as long as my opponent doesn't switch out. The Ancient Power and Earthquake moves are there for obvious reasons. The Earthquake is used to smack electric types around... (Zapdos might be a problem though...)
Typhlosion is my MOST favorite starter pokemon in the series besides Charizard and Pikachu. Why would I put a Magnet on a Typhlosion? A FIRE TYPE? Because it has Thunder Punch... and Water pokemon don't like it very much. Earthquake is meant for rock types. Typhlosion is the power house of my team. So yeah... LOL
Blastiose is another strange case... Bite is very low tier move... BUT it causes Pokemon to flinch on occasion. So what if the Pokemon flinched regardless of the situation? That's where the King's Rock comes into play! Dig is meant for Electric types.
Huh... Alakazam. *sigh*... Let's face it. Alakazam is what everyone calls a "GLASS CANNON" Which mean Alakazam is EXTREMELY powerful in special attacks! Alakazam is EXTREMELY fast but his defense needs some serious help. I could have thought of many other move lists... But, he is so good in the Special department. I am indecisive with this pokemon and I need help with this one. Please give me some pointers on how I can use Alakazam more effectively... seriously.
Raichu is a mixed bag. Raichu statistics are not all that impressive to me. So I SHOWERED Raichu with Proteins and Iron from the department stores! Then I decided to experiment with the pokemon abit and teach it Endure and Reversal. They can be lethal... BUT HOPELESSLY RISKY!!! But, if I use these moves correctly, I figured that I might even beat a high leveled Tyranitar. UH... no... Guys, I need help with Raichu too... And no, I can't teach it Surf.
Scizor... High Attack Power... and it's ONLY LETHAL WEAKNESS IS FIRE. ONE... WEAKNESS. Whatever. The Quick Claw gives it a better chance of going first in a battle. I can apply Double Team and Swords Dance to boost its stats to abnormal levels. Fury Cutter is a low tier move, but it's still a decent bug type move to use against Psychics. Steel Wing just gives it some extra maneuvers. (If this Pokemon is careful enough, Scizor may even make Mewtwo look like a weakling. He was WAY too overpowered in the first generation, and there wasn't any counter measure for Psychics either.)
*whew* If you guys can give me any real pointers, strategies, experiences, narrations or thoughts then... come on in. I open for suggestions.
