Almost six years ago as a mod, I helped found this area for Let's Plays, guides, and reviews, and over those six years, the area has brought us some fantastic content from hundreds of creative and unique Let's Players and video gamers. The unique art and interest in Let's Plays has translated to many threads full of unique and talented content by members who have sometimes gone onto larger YouTube ventures or simply enjoyed casually making videos. Unfortunately, over those six years, the forum here has struggled to maintain activity and despite many talented members and moderators putting their boots to the ground to try and improve activity, attempts have never made a lasting impression and activity has remained very low.
As a result: it's finally time to set down the controllers, turn off the consoles, and put this forum back on the shelf. It's game over.
We thank you all for your submissions over these six years, whether you were just trying out Let's Playing for fun or fell in love with creating and sharing your experiences. We applaud your dedication to the fun, yet challenging work that goes into creating these videos and series.
With Gaming Media's closing, fear not talented Let's Players! The PokéCommunity's YouTube channel can, perhaps, fill the void. We are actively seeking Affiliates to associate with our YouTube channel. Affiliating with us has many benefits which you can read about in the linked thread. If you would prefer to have a single video featured with us, consider submitting a video to our Community Showcase series.
Your threads in Gaming Media will not cease to exist, but will be placed into the Archives. In the main Video Games board, we will be brainstorming for how to include more Let's Play features and fun for those that enjoy what Let's Plays bring to the gaming community.
