    Okay, starting this out, I'm a fan of Flygon. The design, type and movesets of Flygon interest me, and Flygon has been an In-Game and competitive partner to me ever since I got Ruby. The whole spirit of the desert thing and the "Flapping of it's wings sound like melodies" was just awesome. I've won countless battle, several Emerald Battle Frontier symbols and being noticed as "The Kid of the Desert" to my friends because I own everyone with my Flygon.
    Then, when Serebii released information about all the new Pokemon, IV, EV and Stats, I was interested in checking out Flygon. So, I clicked on the Dragon icon for the Dex to list only Dragon types, and I scrolled down too far... Only to find another Ground/Dragon type (Dragon/Ground to be precise).

    So I clicked on it, interested. I got interested in it, and I wanted it badly, seeing as I like Ground and Dragon types. Well, now that I have one and I'm looking into it, it's a complete remake of Flygon with more Moves, better stats and a better ability. I first got angry with it, but now I'm upset about it, because I fight my sister, and she owned my Flygon with her Garchomp, 1 vs 1. The thing was 8 levels lower, non-EV trained and has a hasty nature, and it outsped my Flygon and 2HKO it. This got me furious as Gamefreak actually has kicked our beloved Flygon back and replaced it. I was wondering what the hell is going on? Why'd they go "Hey! Flygon has good typing! Let's make a new Dragon of the Generation with same type and better stats"?
    It's like them trying to make a Metagross with that Iron Bell crap thing in D/P. Same eye color, body color...That was the most utter fail.

    I was expecting some Pokedex entrys to say "Hey, Garchomp owns Flygon, so butt out, goggles!"

    All I'm complaining about is GF making these "NEW" Pokemon like old ones, but better or worse. Why are they doing it? They're adding stupid pre-evos (Happiny, my god.) and stupid new Evos (Magneton is a UFO and Togetic is a fat dove).

    they really took it to the next level with this game. i think they were trying to recreate that feeling you got when you first played red/blue. they have a lot of the same characters, just changed up a bit, like, an electric squirrel instead of a mouse :P or a beaver instead of the other rat rodent. they also make a big deal about evolution in this game, so, more forums for like, all pokees :0

    yeah flygon was pretty cool, but he seems nerfed compared to garchomp, it's a sad story i know :( they added a lot of powerful pokemon in this game.
     
    Yah, Togetic went 60 pounds. :P
    Garchomp reminds me of Secptile and Gabite reminds me of Grovyle.
    Gible reminds me of a fat shark. :P
     
    i like flygon as well,... no i love it, but truth is flygon is not in the same stat category as garchomp. garchomp is in the same stat category as Salamence... flygon is in a lower one. it's still pretty cool with choice band.
     
    But Flygon has Levitate, and Garchomp doesn't... I would think that makes them almost equal. You can't compare too much when up against a rivel Poke, because there will always be a winer (ie, Alakazam vs. Gengar). Both have their own advantage, making them equally useful in a battle, but one will always win against the other.
     
    levitate on flygon is not that detrimental. if it were dragon/rock, then yes, levitate would be a great advantage for it, but it's dragon/ground, which causes normal damage anyway. sure, you can use his ability to your advantage in some battles, but with flygon's movepool, it's not all about dodging hits.
     
    I've been a Flygon fan for a while, but I'm currently using a Garchomp on my team in my Pearl Game.

    I don't dislike Garchomp at all, mine is actually pretty strong.

    I will always have a place for Flygon though. Once I get the National Dex, I want to get him over into my game and compare him with my Garchomp.

    Heh. I guess I like the new DP Pokémon. And that "fat dove" Togetic is amazing. Togekiss is a great new addition, and (to me) looks like a better Togepi evolution than Togetic ever did.

    I'm just stating there is uneeded Evos. Magneton was good already, Togetic was cute and I think Rhydon was good enough (Although Rypherior is freaking awesome).

    Some evolutions, in my opinion, were desperatly needed, though. Gallade, that was a good idea. Magmortar, Tangelia Evo, Froslass, Yanmega and Electivire, those were good ideas. It just seemed unecissary to have Evolutions for Pokemon when we thought they wouldn't evolve anymore.
     
    I liked that they added EVO's to Electabuzz and Magmar. I love Togekiss because its the EVO of my favorite pokemon. Tangela deserved an EVO. But why Gligar and Piloswine? I really would have liked more for a Dunsparce EVO (Who's with me?), a Jynx EVO (It's only fair), and a Steelix EVO (How cool would Crystalix be?) But yeah, first look at Garchomp made me think, 'why'? They had 2 Dragon/Flying Ubers, 1 Steel/Psychic Uber, and 1 Rock/Dark Uber, but how cool would a Ghost/Fire Uber be?

    I like Flygon too, but I think there could be a new tier between underused and overused in this generation. Garchomp is better than Flygon, and Infernape is better than Blaziken. I think there really could be a new tier in the workings...

    This latter being a fact that pains my heart. I love my Blaziken. It's the same type as an Infernape but ultimately not as good. My issue, dumb as it is, is my complete inaiblity to take anything that looks like Infernape seriously. I always just stick to my favorites.
     
    actually, Blaziken may not have as much speed as Infernape, but it has equal defenses as it and both higher attack and sp attack. also, it has higher HP, so it can definitely outlast a hit from Infernape, and could most definitely OHKO Infernape.

    Yep, Yep it is for the worse. Yes for ex: why does Chansey need an evo for it sucks already
