I was wondering if it would be better to have Gallade or Gardevior on my team. Also, my friend gave me a hacked level 3 Gardevoir. I was wondering, should I train my own from a Raltz or should I train the Gardevior?

you should start from a ralts and train it

Will it result in better stats, or are you saying that because it's hacked? It doesn't have perfect IV's or anything.

I would choose gallade over gardevoir because hes psychic AND fighting, not only that but also has really good beggining stats, yeah start from ralts and work your way up, what I would do (which i did) is stall the evolution of ralts a few lvls until he learns psychic, then evolve him to gallade.

I thought Gallade's stats are equal to Gardevoir's, just that the special attack and attack are switched.

Gardevoir serves more as a special wall/sweeper, while Gallade is more of a physical sweeper. So it depends on the purpose you have for it. Gallade also doesn't really have a good ability under its belt, while Gardevoir with Trace can be really useful. Wouldn't hurt to get both eventually and see what you like/need.

    I learned that the hard way >>;
<--- Trained Ralts in Attack and Sp.Attack.
When I got Gallade, and checked its summary, I nearly died.

Mmmm. Serebii saved meh though D:

Go with psycho cut if you're training gallade, he'll use it more nicely than psychic.

Yea, Psycho Cut probably woulda been better, if anything. And Close Combat instead of Focus Punch. And Gallade isn't fast. o.o

So far I've gotten Protect, Psycho Cut, Close Combat, and Leaf Blade for my Gallade?

It's my belief that with a Pokémon with bad defenses, you would want to kill the opponent (or damage it heavily) quickly and reliably, and Focus Punch isn't reliable enough without Substitute.

Edit: The case is similar in Infernape's case, but if Focus Punch works well enough with you, I can't disagree with its power.

    A great moveset would be:

    Psycho Cut
    Night Slash/Swords Dance
    Leaf Blade
    Close Combat

Holding the item Razor Claw or something, boosts critical hit ratios, while 3 out of those 4 moves have high critical hit ratio, giving you a great chance to critical hit.

i would go with Gallade. though Gardevoir is Psychic, Gallade learns a Physical Attack called Psycho Cut, which is a Psychic Type Attack that does 70 Damage and has a high critical-hit ratio, which elminates the need for Psychic altogether. :D
