~Gardevoir Fan Club~V2.0

meh, i can't find much garde art, but i have been looking around D-art lately

Yeah, I'm reading them - just that it takes longer to read things off the screen, because your eyes get sore after a while as my resolution is set so high (1440/1050 I think, on a 12" screen), lol, you know what I mean?

I'm trying to get a cheap working scanner off trade me or ebay, so I don't have to take a photo of everything and edit the photo - too much trouble, lol XD...

And, WTQ? There's like a random 1x1 sized cave HIDDEN beneath the cycling road in D/P (you can't even see your char's sprite entering it!), and you cannot do anything in it - is it supposed to be a glitch or bug or something? Or do you need to use Sweet Scent so you can find some Über rare pokemons?

Eh? Why is the resolution so high? Ah! I'll bet it's for crisp graphics when gaming, am I right? Thanks for reading them and I hope you're enjoying them! I hope you'll find an awesome, yet affordable, scanner.

Ah! Try this: go to my DeviantArt Page:

...And browse about in my Favorites. I think I managed to fav many of the good to awesome Gardevoir, Kirlia and Ralts pics there.

1440*1050 is the native resolution of my tablet PC, and it's graphics card is good enough for those older games like CS and War 3 - FX5200 32MB.

Also I'm looking for a NORMAL, DEDICATED scanner, because those multifunction centers (that do printing, scanning, copying and fax in one) are absolutely crap - firstly, driver conflicts; secondly, low resolution printing/scanning; thirdly, I never use copier and fax so it's unnecessary...

Anyway, back to topic, I figured out a couple of good move sets for the Battle Tower in D/P:

1. the usual sweeper (Gardevoir)
Timid nature, 252 SP, 252 SA, 4 whatever.
Item: Lum Berry
Psychic + Thunderbolt + Shadow Ball + TM86 (Does a TONNE of damage to Snorlax and Metagross!)

2. the new-age sweeper (Gardevoir)
Brave nature, 172 AT, 168 DE, 168 SD
Item: The glasses that increases accuracy
Psychic + TM52 (120/70/Fighting) + Charge Beam + Ghost Quick Attack OR Frustration

3. the anti-sweeper (Gardevoir)
Relaxed nature, 172 HP, 168 DE, 168 SD
Item: Leftovers OR Large Root (Wish heals 50% + 8%)
Wish + Charm OR Allure + Psychic + Thunder Wave OR Attract (if Allure)

4. critical hitter (Elraide)
Adamant nature, 252 HP, 252 AT
Item: Scope Lens
Psycho Cutter OR Swords Dance + Dark Blade + Leaf Blade + In-fight OR TM71 (100/80/Rock) OR Slash

I kinda figured you were a CS player. You have a tablet PC? That's awesome!

Hey! You've got a cool lineup! Two Gardevoir couples heading into the frey. Be sure to load 'em up on Vitamins...if available.

Yeah, those compound scanners/photcopiers, etc, etc are usually just junk. A good USB Flat-Bed should do just fine.

Yeah lol, it's a Toshiba Portege M200 - an older model, but I got it cheap off trade me for NZ$1600 (~US$1000 odd), and it was brand new too, wasn't even opened! They used to sell for about NZ$4000 here last year.

BTW, those sets were made just to beat the battle tower in D/P, where Drapion (one critical from him is about GG) and Lucario are the biggest threat, due to their typing, followed by the new Dragon/Ground dude, Doom-mirror evo, Murmage and Gengar (who had just got a major boost as Sludge Bomb and Shadow Ball are Special now).
Also, some of the annoyances include Snorlax (a whole new move set), Blissey (80% of them know Hyper Beam, some CM + HB, WTF... =.="), Crescelia (pure annoyance), and Dusclops evo (100 attack + 135 in each defense)... and more...

Also, I got to give the AI some credit for making some of the usual sweepers into pretty good stallers, and some stallers/tanks/annoyers into decent sweepers... they really catch you off guard a big time if you're not familiar with their move sets!

I haven't left either, but since I couldn't find a way to post my pics, I haven't really posted here. I wish I could post my Gardevoir art though...

Just post a link to them here, or try using the "IMG" tag.

BTW, something I found - Charge Beam > Calm Mind a big time if you don't want to stall. It has a ~70% chance to up your SA by 1 stage while doing 50 Electric damage, while Calm Mind just leaves you open to a free physical hit. But if you want to stall and then sweep, use Calm Mind and Double Team instead, like what Wally does with his one.

Wally's move set: Calm Mind, Double Team, Psychic, Thunderbolt* (only in R/S, or if you start with Torchic in Emerald)

* Will be Fire Punch if you start with Treecko and Magical Leaf if you start with Mudkip.

You have some fics and Gardevoir art too? Cool! I hope I'll get to see them soon!

The Final Strike should be complete in the next day or two.

EDIT: Well, for those of you who are interested, The Final Strike is now complete. I'll be posting it around and about tomorrow. See ya!

Sigh...

Right now I'm trying to figure out a working STALL-SWEEPING move set for Gardevoir (or any other Psy types) in D/P... In RSEFL Wally's set works well, just 1 Clam Mind first, then 2 Double Team, then CM again, Double Team twice more (4 DT's are enough), then, if you like, CM another 2 times or something. But it doesn't work that well in D/P because too many old special attacks became physical (e.g. Bite/Crunch), and Shadowball became special so it won't be too hard to defend against. In fact, the major killers are those new Slash variants - Dark Blade, Shadowclaw etc. with high crit %.

Here's a set I found working so far... that is, until I come across a Drapion/Skutank/Absol etc., or another bulky Psy type like Hypno and Crescelia:

Relaxed nature, 252 HP, 252 Defense
Item - Large Root OR Leftovers (depends on the moves)
- Calm Mind
- Wish (Large Root) OR Double Team (Leftovers)
- Psychic
- Pulse Bomb (Hadou-dan) - TM52 OR Hidden Power Fighting
(Well, I don't use HP because it's for newbs and gh3y f4gs, and it's almost impossible to get a decent HP in real games anyway.)

I chose Relaxed over Bold because Wish is better used second so you get healed after you get hit - they changed the speed priorities of some moves in D/P.

Greetings! I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!

Now that I have even more toys to work with in my Tales from the Toy Chest movies, all I need to complete the set are two 6", well-detailed Gardevoir figures and one 2", well-detailed Ralts figure. Does anyone know if what I seek is available?

Well, I'm also happy that someone is enjoying the conclusion to to fan-fic series, The Final Strike.

Again I say, Merry Christmas to you all!

LOL just a random sidetrack:

I bought a Dragon Frontiers booster box from Vagabonds, it's supposed to have 36 packs, but the shop guy only charged me for 24 packs, I was like LOL...

And guess what I got in that box - 2 Shining Mew's and 2 Shining Charizard's (and they were supposed to be Über rare...), and 8 ex's (actually, 5) - Latias ex, Latios ex, Kingdra ex, Dragonite ex, and the other 4 are ALL Gardevoir ex's... I was like OMGWTFBBQHAX... =.="

Anyway, just saying, if that box had 24 packs, then half of those would have something good inside (12/24)...

Now, the question is... is it just my luck, or are they starting to put double up ex's and shinings into the same boxes like they once did with the Sandstorm boxes - I bought 8 packs from the same box and got 7 Gardevoir ex's from those and a Whailord ex... Pure WTF-ness!!!

Yeesh! I wish I got your card boxes! You should've sent them to me for Christmas!

Just kidding!

That's awesome to get so many Gardevoir cards in one fell swoop like that. Definately an awesome way to kick off the New Year, if you ask me.

Yeah, lol... but I preferred to have 4 Latias ex's instead lol... she's so cute!!! XD

And, this is the Gardevoir ex from DF (Note: Green is our new red!):

Pretty good power to screw up your opponent's strategy, and 80 damage for 3 energy is good, plus you can power up your bench that way as well.

Also, this isn't right either! Considering I pulled them out from 2 consecutive packs, with the SAME package art!!! Pure WTFness...

The Latias art on that card looks cute, XD...

I like that Gardevoir card!!! ~Solarys~, I agree with you about Latias art. About my art, when I get a chance, I'll post it up... though it might take a few days....

Yeah, Imprison REALLY screws up your opponent sometimes, if their deck revolves around some passive or active pokemon powers...

But now the question is... Why is Gardevoir a FIRE type instead of GRASS?
You see - Latias is FIRE type because she's RED, and Latios is WATER type because he's BLUE... But Gardevoir is GREEN, and instead of being a GRASS type, he's another FIRE type...

Seriously - does that mean green is our new red...?
Or... should we put it this way: You can have red greenery (e.g. a garden of red flowers), but you can't have green reddery...?

LOL!!!

I don't know if anyone still hangs around here, but here's an awesome Gardevoir pic from DeviantArt:

https://www.deviantart.com/deviation/51789383/

I'd upload it to the forum, but I can't get the uploading system here to work. Oh, well.

I don't know if anyone still hangs around here

=oo=;;; I just bumped into here again, while finding places to spam...

Should I reactivate the spam zone here...? I don't have many random pics and stuff to spam around anymore because I've just upgraded my laptop to dual core to get ready for Vista, and I was stupid enough not to keep/backup the old hard drive...... ~.~"

Anyway, just found out that my new laptop (Toshiba Satellite P100) has a 512MB 7900 GS discrete video card in it, pure WTFness - I wonder how they squeezed the damn thing in, as the desktop version is MASSIVE... It hardly matters now as I don't have time for games anymore, I bought it just because it's cheap...

Back to Pokemon stuff - is anyone getting D/P when they come out? I just saw all the new translations of attack names etc. and IMO the English translation of Pokemon is getting more and more "all your base"... I can still remember the good old color days where I never had to read FAQ's or anything to get through the game and understand everything (I was only 10 or 11 back then), GSC are fine, too, but when RSE came out, they added so many new things that they can't even translate/explain properly in English, and I couldn't even finish the game the first time without looking at walkthroughs =oo=;;;... So I'm having a bad feeling about D/P's translation, I can only hope it's not too AYB to understand... Maybe I'll just download the ROMs and try them out on the Super Card first.

IMO the Psychic and Ghost classes have got a major buff in D/P because Shadow Ball became a special attack and most Psychics and Ghosts have access to Focus Blast, so now they have counters for Dark and Ghost Pokemon. But that Gallade guy is something special, he is more of a critical hitter, but most of his good attacks are not inherited from Kirlia though...

And, they've further nerfed the already useless Poison class by making Sludge Bomb a special attack. The first nerf was removing Bug's weakness to Poison, but at the same time removed Poison's weakness to Bug, so that's not exactly a nerf, but this time it's a little absurd...

Another thing that gets me: why can't Gardevoir and Alakazam learn Dark Pulse? Almost every other high-tier Pokemon have some move to stun the opponent, though... Maybe DP won't help much on Gardevoir because he doesn't have the speed, and Hypnosis' accuracy got buffed to 70%, but it'll certainly help a lot on Alakazam.

OK, enough spam for one day...... (Note: Ctrl+C --> Ctrl+V ftw =3)

PS: If you have a PS2, you gotta try out this new game called Ar Tonelico... It's made by the same people who made the Atelier series, but it's way more non-game-ish than Ateliers... It's super hilarious, though, just try not to play it in front of your parents...

I want to join!!

And FYI the JP name for Gallade, Erureido, is simplified as Erlade. Portmanteau of Earl and Blade. ^-^

As for a moveset:
Close Combat (STAB)
Psycho Cut (Anything Fight-resistant or weak to Psychics)
Night Slash (Psychics)
Stone Edge (Flying)

I have an Adamant Erlade with Fist Plate with this moveset that people have called a war machine.

Can I join?
i really love gardevoir
i claimed her gallade and kirlia
sorry i cant provide fan art sorry
