But the funny thing I saw was that Team Rockets Wobuffet fell in love with that Kirlia. I laughed my head off at that. -Darkralts7

It's the FIRST TIME in the whole pokemon series that Wobbuffet attacked... - with Double Edge on the cage... Wobbuffet doesnt even know any active attacks... so i was like WTF? Struggle? maybe, lol...
anyway, THAT little Kirlia's sooooo~~~ cute!!!

It had a Ralts and a Kirlia in it, there was no Gardevoir, which was a shame.

OK... It had Duskull, Shuppet, Banette(?), Gastly and Haunter in the ghost gang, but no Misdreavus, which was also a shame... (they could also use a Dusclops...)

yeah, there were a bunch of psychic and ghost pokemon not featured in that episode, oh well I guess It would be a pain to try and cram every single psychic and ghost pokemon in one episode....

good point.

and... WTF? that Elraid guy is a BLADE (yaiba) pkmn? then he must know Swords Dance... (+ elemental punches)
i sense pwnage... but still, Blaziken looks cooler! (I'll BLAZE KICK any1 who disagrees!!!!)

btw, i bet you know why they had to make a split evo for male Kirlia, right?

A male Garde with a skirt just ain't right. But being a blade Pokemon would kinda be expected, there's two blades on his arms and a metal one through his head. That's tough stuff there.

Blaze Kick me, you'll never get past my D/P Skarmory self.

I, for one, could use an explaination on that.

I, for one, could use an explaination on that.

This is only my own opinion, ok:

It has nothing to do with appearance. and it's rather obvious... They made those elemental punches physical attacks, so there's got to be someone to take them over from Alakazam and Gardevoir. (Hitmonchan for one, but he's too weak.) There's no point spliting from the Alakazam line since Abra already has 100 special attack and Kadabra 120. On the other hand, Kirlia has 65 even though he's a stage 1. (and Gardevoir has 65 attack, so it's perfect for a switch-around.)
So now Alakazam and Gardevoir will be off using Shadow Balls and the new guy is basically our old elemental punch Gardevoir/Alakazam. Or maybe they'll give him a physical type psychic attack for a LOL.

what gets me is why they made a special evo for female Snorunt...

That explains a few things, but it still throws a monkeywrench into the works of my fan-fictions. Speaking of which, were you able to get to them?

Let's just say that the influx of rule changes and new Poke'mon are why I gave up on the series a few years ago. Poke'mon XD changed that, however. At least for now.

yeah, reading it - a little a day because my uni stuff is pwning me so bad... exams coming up and i still dont know a sh!t.. i skipped a year at high school, which i shouldnt have, and i took 2 stage-2 courses on my first year, which i shouldnt have... i'm gonna fail so bad this time, i dont need Future sight to predict it! :'(

OK, Porygon 2 => Porygon Z... you call that an evolution? just trading defenses for power and speed? i wouldnt mind if it evolves right from the basic Porygon!
(Scratch that - Scyther => Scizor wasn't an evolution either... its like Deoxys changing forms...)
These non-evolutions should be reversible...

Back to my old topic again:
- Gardevoir vs Hypno - who will win, if they're not specially made to pwn each other?
Ans: Under old rules (RSEFRLG), definitely Hypno, because 1. Hypno can't be put asleep, and has access to Nightmare, 2. Hypno has better Attack and Defense, if they have to use Shadow Ball. But under D/P rules, Gardevoir wins no doubt. (they have the same special defense and similar HP, but Gardevoir has a much higher S.Atk.)

OK, new topic:
- Elraid vs Hypno, under the new DP rules, who will win? (assume that they're not specially made to beat each other.)

Im not talking about Sceptile here... or does that new Kirlia evo guy learn Leaf Blade? He's not weak to ice anyway...

Anyway, I say Hypno on 60% of times, depends if Hypnosis hits. Because Hypnosis + Dream Eater (he has no psychic resistance) + Nightmare = GG.

Ah. Thank you. I hope things still turn out well for you. Give it all you got!

Hmmm...Gardevoir VS Hypno, eh? That would be quite the match; however, Gardevoir would win a Beauty Contest hands down!

Gardy 6 CMed T/Bolt does more than Hypno's Night Shade...
Gardy 6 CMed T/Bolt would OHKO Lugia and 2HKO Blissey...what would the attack do to Hypno? And if you add para hax in, Gardy will win this even if Hypno has Wish/Protect because it can para on the Protect turn

6CM... he has no chance! Hypno KO's him with 2 Shadow Balls under old rules... Gardevoir needs 3 to KO Hypno, I tried with Brave Gardevoir (251 attack) vs Relaxed Hypno (262 defense). or if Sleep hits, any1's pretty much screwed without Chesto. Nightmare + Dream Eater can be annoying! (Well, if he traces Insomnia, it's a different story - but who chooses trace over syncro? I dont...)

Here's the movesets I used to test battle: as u can see they're not made to beat each other - they're just made for the battle frontier.
Gardevoir: Brave nature, full attack (251), full special (345 ish), Thunderbolt + Psy + Shadowball + Bodyslam (or Thunderwave if you're not on emulator - i use Shift+F1 for paralysis, so he goes first, lol).
Hypno: Relaxed nature, full HP (355 ish), full defense (262), Hypnosis, Dream Eater, Nightmare, Shadowball.

OK, I'm interested in the new guy vs. Hypno... I think Hypno has the edge...

Trace sucks, go with Lum Berry Syncronyze Garde, that way if your opponent does something like T-Wave or Will-O-Wisp, they get the status condition and you get healed from it. ^_^

All I can see from Trace is when you send it out against Slaking...when you start the battle.

Well trace doesnt suck that bad, good against Jolteon, and Vaporeon, and those Flash Fire guys... Send a trace guy out when you know they're going to use Thunderbolt or Surf or Flamethrower or whatever, and they'll heal you.

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST - YOU CAN TRACE WONDER GUARD!!! HAVE PORYGON2 TRACE A WONDER GUARD AND SAY GG. (they can't send out fighting type, or they get pwn3d by Psychokinesis.)

However, Gardevoir is more useful with Synchronize - it's one of the cheapest passives out there...

(PS: Who know trace again? Ralts, Porygon and who else?)

Hmmm...Gardevoir VS Hypno, eh? That would be quite the match; however, Gardevoir would win a Beauty Contest hands down!

Uh... I'll enter him into a Smartness Contest... because Psychic types have an advantage in that area... Beauty is normally for Fire and Water types (look at their moves). Anyway I usually enter Skitty/Delcatty into Beauty and Cuteness - those guys with low stats but a huge movepool are made for contests anyway.

Hey folks, sorry to go a bit off topic here, but did any of you see The pokemon episode: Fear Factor Phony? It had a Ralts and a Kirlia in it, there was no Gardevoir, which was a shame. But the funny thing I saw was that Team Rockets Wobuffet fell in love with that Kirlia. I laughed my head off at that. -Darkralts7

Thanks for pointing that one out. It was a great episode! Plus, it only took me 3 days to download it! Blasted hardware firewalls...

Gah...It's amazing how much Eruriedo art can come up on D-ART in such a short time.

In other unrelated news, I'm head over heels for Mimiroppu. I have an account on D-ART, see if you can find it. The pic is in my favs. ;)

cool, I need to see some of the D/P art! Do you have the same user name at D-ART poke-nome?(I need to know how to find you there...)

5...

Who's that again?

and... wtf? that blade dude learns Leaf blade at lv1??? how the fcuk can you get him to have it (not on Ralts' egg list - duh!)? or is there a dungeon thingy that resets ur party to lv1 or something? otherwise its impossible without hax... like how the Emerald's Battle frontier ppl's Gardevoir have Magical leaf - it's impossible for players to have it as Kirlia learns it at Lv1, and there arent wild Kirlias! (Charizard's Heatwave is different, cuz u can breed it onto Charmander.)

**he's not the only one with those random lv1 moves, heaps of others too, so i suspect there must be a way to DECREASE lv's like the opposite of rare candy or a place that resets ur level like the wish cave in MD. and there is a possibility those moves are only made for the in-game AI's or rentals for mini games.**

AND, WTF is the ability "BAD LUCK" (foes have 2x chance to crit) for? Skill swapping? 5...

Maybe because of the Move Relearner in Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald in Fallarbor that they get Magical Leaf? :/

Beats me, try explaining why they gave Slaking Traunt.
