And I like Solary's guro Sana.
Thanks, but I don't think I quite catch it - who's "Sana"? Can you post a pic of that char I want to see how similar my random drawing is to that one. I only merged the Elfen Lied pic with the TCG Gardevoir's pic, so if it's so similar to that char you're on about, then I must say I'm pretty good with the Photoshop CS2 ^ ^
LOL jks. I'm a newb with it... =P
EDIT: (To the last post) OMFG WTF BBQ HAX0rZs!!!!!11111 LOLOLOLO!!!!!!1111oneoneone
Seriously I've never seen that - I never bothered with comics...
OK, here's what I did - I googled for random pictures and found those I listed above, and I used Paint to edit them pixel by pixel (LOL!!!), then I imported it into Photoshop CS2 by layers - 1 layer for each color with individual lighting. (Background is copied from an Elfen Lied screenshot and dumbed down to simple lines and polygons, and changed the color scheme.) Then I used the smudge and blur tool in CS2 to merge the layers with background, layer by layer - if you enlarge my pic by 16 times (that's the original size!!! 3200/2400), you can clearly see those layers at the edges of different colors.
And here's how I made the char: I used "invert color" on the Elfen Lied chars to get a silhouette (the dark aura thingy), and I superimposed the head portion of the Emerald card onto the silhouette, then used the Free Transform tool in CS2 to rotate and stretch/skew parts of it so its facing a different angle - this is done by cutting each color on the head into a separate layer and re-paste them onto the silhouette (I know there are much easier ways of doing it =P) So, basically, I cut everything up into pieces and pasted them onto each other as layers, and merged them, like how the old "Animorph" books cover pages are done.
Oh, by the way, my original version's char had a gun in its hand just like the EL pic, and looks quite different to the simpler one I posted - I couldn't post that one on here because it's like R rated for violence. So yeah, I dumbed that one down quite a lot, and I used a random image I googled as reference of how an unarmed Gardevoir should look. Anyway, if anyone is offended by it, I'll take it off and edit it a little more, maybe I'll use the Gardevoir ex's 3D picture instead, if I can find a way around the shading option in CS2.
EDIT2: I'll post my concept layers here later for youse to see that I didn't just ctrl+c, ctrl+v. I need to find them first - I didn't delete them, that much I'm certain.
EDIT3: Here are some of my concept drawings for the head and hair - and that IS how many steps I went through to get that far, and it shows you how newb I am... LOL
