I don't think they'll be part of anything (other than fanfics perhaps).

As ^ mentioned, parent's don't get very big roles in Pkmn games. Many are 'missing', but it doesn't really matter. Blue's parents (AKA Green, Gary and whatever more) could either be dead, living somewhere else, living in Palett Town without having enough importance to be added in the games, or alot of things. I can't say I haven't asked myself this, but there aren't really any answers other than speculations. :/

His parents are always shopping when you go home to Pallet, and get back a little after you leave. Besides, he has a sister, and his house only has one room with no beds, what are they supposed to do, sleep on top of each other?
