Gary's claim of Diglett's speed

Sorry, but my friend virtualboy2558 pointed me out this line from the Pokemon Anime. From the episode called "Dig Those Diglett!" to be exact (he says it about 13 minutes in).
Not sure if he says it in other countries, but in the English-dub you can hear him say it. oO

I'm shocked that I couldn't find any topics or memes about this line, because seriously? Wouldn't this ridiculous claim not raise a few red flags? Wouldn't a mole with the ability to dive underground at such ludicrous speeds not 'cause some miiiiinor damage?

Oh, I've asked Yahoo Answers that question and the answer is the most brutal I've ever read a Pokemon could do! XD

Apparently a nuclear bomb wouldn't be anything compared to a single Diglett's duck, if lightspeed ducking were true. oO


I posted this somewhere before, but got almost no response, so hopefully you at least might enjoy that. =P What's your thought on Gary's Diglett claim? ^^

Seems a lot like the pokedex made stuff up. The pokedex entries stood out to me as something aimed at children. Though most children (not Gary though) might question that claim.

I was just watching my own VHS collection of the Anime one day when I stumbled upon this episode and heard this line spoken. Seriously... I know back in the day this show had a lot of stuff that made not a lick of sense, but this one claim probably takes the cake. =P Am so happy you mentioned it here, Merry! ^o^
