3rd Gen GBA to DS?

    I posted this question in another thread on the D/P/Pl forums but later realized it would be better asked here.

    I understand that once I complete Platinum, I can use a GBA game to get more Pokemon onto my Platinum. My question is which game should I get. I was thinking of getting Emerald, since I am starting with the 3rd version of the new generation...but FR/LG appeals to me too since I played R/B/Y back in the day.

    My biggest thing is I really want Mew/Mewtwo on my Platinum but I don't want to get FR/LG just for two Pokemon when I can always try to trade for those two.

    Help pls!
     
    I would say both, if you can afford it. Emerald for sure though since you can duplicate Pokemon at the Battle Frontier so you don't lose the Pokemon you transfer over to Platinum.
     
    Emerald is a blast so long as you haven't played RS for 8+ months. Highly recommended-
     
    Thanks...after thinking about it I will likely play both eventually anyway. I have decided to start backwords by playing Platinum...Emerald...then LeafGreen.
